Clinton implores Carnegie Mellon students to work with her on their future in Pittsburgh

I'm sure looking forward to the NY & PA primaries:

PITTSBURGH -- Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton asked Carnegie Mellon University students Wednesday to help her build a world full of possibilities by supporting her bid and continuing President Obama’s progress.

“This election is much more about your future than anything else,” Clinton told an estimated crowd of 2,000 in CMU’s Skibo Gym. “I want you to imagine with me what we can build together.”

With Pennsylvania’s April 26 primary less than three weeks away, Clinton didn’t mention her Democratic primary opponent, Vermont U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, but repeatedly hit on her “progressive” credentials, such as fighting for civil and women’s rights.

“I do believe that if you’re a progressive you do need to make progress,” she said, echoing criticism of Sanders that he has been ineffectual in Congress.

At one point, Clinton took another veiled shot at Sanders’ laser-like focus just on domestic issues, saying that, “National security is not an afterthought,” and is, in fact, a “core responsibility” of any president.

While she might not have mentioned her fellow Democrat, Clinton did name Republican front-runner Donald Trump to denounce the rhetoric from his campaign that, she said, is intended to “incite prejudice and paranoia” and violence.

“It is so contrary to who we are and who we must be if we’re going to own the future,” Clinton said.

It was that hope for the future that Clinton repeatedly turned to before the youthful crowd, which was joined by another 1,400 people outside who couldn’t get in.

For those that don't know Pgh., the last picture is the Mayor Bill Peduto with the mic. He was an early endorser.
