Meet the GOPers Trolling Hillary From the Left

THIS IS POSTED IN THE HILLARY CLINTON GROUP

http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2014/08/america-rising-hillary-clinton-trolling

With Democratic groups uniting behind a Clinton presidential bid, America Rising has swooped in to stir up her progressive critics.

When Hillary Clinton declined to attend the annual Netroots Nation conference in July, the most vocal outcry came not from the progressive base, but from a Republican super-PAC founded by former staffers for Mitt Romney and the Republican National Committee. "Despite flying over Detroit, MI – the home of Netroots Nation 2014 – Hillary Clinton will not strategize with Democratic activists at the United States' 'largest progressive gathering' this weekend," the group wrote on its website. "Instead, she will be traveling from Connecticut to Minnesota in order to $ell her book." That condemnation was paired with a meme-ified graphic of Clinton waving goodbye to the "grassroots" as she flew by.

Officially, Hillary Clinton is still a private citizen contemplating a possible 2016 presidential campaign. But everyone else in the political world is treating her as if she were a formal candidate. A slew of right-wing books targeting Clinton have been published this summer. And a bevy of Democratic super PACs have sprung into existence to defend Clinton and expand her base of support. "I've been amazed at what a cottage industry it is… If it all stopped, a lot of people would lose their jobs," Clinton said recently on the Daily Show of the hype machine that revolves around her potential candidacy.

The group seems to be going out of its way to stir up trouble for Hillary within the Democrats' lefty base. America Rising has highlighted Clinton's past support for the Iraq War and called her out for continuing contracts with Blackwater when she was at the State Department. The weekend of Netroots Nation, the PAC made a video that spliced together a clip of Elizabeth Warren denouncing lobbyists with an old video of Clinton defending her decision to accept donations from lobbyists, a clear appeal to the liberals who might be wary of Clinton's campaign finance record.

Hillary. The needs for large funds seems to escape their reasoning. In the time she spent on the Walmart board she promoted buy America, we need people like her to sit on corporate boards in order to get good things passed. Hillary has lots of experience world wide, she has been in Congress and has worked across the aisle, her experience as SOS has given her perhaps a unique vision to her working with a cabinet of her own.

14. I remember that era with WalMart, when it really was 'buy America.' The good were USA made.

I and many others went to shop there to help our workers and not send the money overseas.

But her time with them has been distorted by too many as 'proof!!!' she is anti-worker and for bad trade deals, a corporate lackey, on and on and on.

It's dishonest and it does not advance Democratic Party ideals for governing the country. I've been profoundly disappointed at the Breitbart level of vitrol tossed at her like the girls in Pakistan or India (and elsewhere, those are just the most notorious ones) getting acid thrown in their faces for going to school or daring to ask to not be stigmatized, raped, etc .

There is some not very well hidden sexism in the attacks on her, that some believe she has gone too far taking a man's job, or whatever. But they dare not say it that way.

Things are said about her character that are out of line, constructed from the Segretti method.

She's really going to tick a lot of narrow minded and ill-informed people off. But she has the support of many working people, and that is what the dissers will never get, no matter how they claim to be wildly populist.

their wealth. I would think hearing a success story would show if you work hard and play by the rules just may get on the top.

Thanks for your reply, I am backing her because of her abilities.

That article should be a game changer!

I posted on the technique in regards to Democrats and Obama here:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/110215862

But this has brought the technique to the light like nothing else I've seen!

I hope a rapid response team will be able to fight back and elect our first female president!

We've already had our first feminist president* elected, just think what she will do!

*See here:

And Hillary has her head on straight, she's urging people to focus on 2014 for the time being. If she gets the nod in 2016, she'll get my support.

Thanks for posting this, I'm saving it and will be sharing it, too.

Sorry for all the exclaimation points. I've been over in G-D too long...
