Bad news for Bernie (NBC's First Read).

Excerpts:

Here's the problem for Sanders after his big win last night: He outspent Clinton over the Wisconsin airwaves by nearly a 3-to-1 margin, beat her by 14 percentage points, 57%-43%, but only picked up a net gain of just 10 pledged delegates. And despite that gain, the percentage of overall remaining delegates that Clinton needs to clinch the nomination actually got smaller (from 34% to 33%), because there are fewer delegates left to win.

In pledged delegates, Clinton holds a 245-delegate lead over Sanders (it was 255)

Clinton 1271 (55% of delegates won)
Sanders 1026 (45%)

In overall delegates (including superdelegates), Clinton holds a 670-delegate lead over Sanders (was 680)

Clinton must win 33% of remaining delegates to hit 2383 magic number (was 34%)

Sanders must win 67% of remaining delegates to hit 2383 magic number (was 66%)

Of the 16 Democratic remaining primaries, just three are completely open contests.

Sanders is winning/has momentum. There was even one particularly delusional post/poll asking whether Hillary should concede and step aside.

That's where a good amount of his cash is going.

At least he's supporting local TV stations.

I wonder who's doing those media buys for him, and how much they are getting paid?

Might as well just hand WY and ND to Sanders, though--Clinton people work, they have responsibilities, they just don't have the time to do that caucus thing. They also don't like the bullying/intimidation tactics.

Anywhere you see an OPEN primary, you see libertarians, Paulbots, Reform Party types streaming into the Democratic process to vote for Sanders. Were he not running they'd probably vote for Trump.

I don't know if BS will be able to outspend her 3 to 1 in NY. I don't know if advertising is all that effective in that more sophisticated market. The NYDN article really panned BS on his depth of knowledge of Wall St and his approach to Wall St reform. Wall St is very important to the mid Atlantic States' economy. I don't know how his 'anti-Wall St/business model of Wall St is corruption' meme will pan out there. I think Hill will finally go for the jugular in the next debate, despite her tendency to be a more careful candidate to date. The closed primary in NY does not help Bernie. A blowout or near blowout for Hill in NY will spell disaster for BS.

New York Daily News hammers Sanders as the race turns to the Empire State

And for Sanders, the next 24 hours won't be pretty with New York Daily News covers like this: "Bernie's Sandy Hook Shame" -- for Sanders' admission to the paper that the families of the Newtown, CT shooting shouldn't be able to sue gun manufacturers. That Daily News headline couldn't come at a worse time for him after his big win last night. And there's criticism/scrutiny of Sanders' entire interview with the Daily News editorial page.

from each one of them as he did in WI, he would still be 65 delegates short of matching Hillary's pledged delegate count.

He needs to net 13-14 delegates per contest to match Hillary.
