Latest Missouri poll--Close

(DES MOINES) – Red America, Blue America (RABA) Research, a bipartisan polling firm with principals based in New York, Des Moines, and Washington, DC, is out with a new poll showing Hillary Clinton with a narrow, 44% - 40% lead over Bernie Sanders in Missouri ahead of Tuesday’s primary.

The poll, conducted March 8-10, surveyed 670 Missouri Democratic primary voters on landline and mobile phones. The margin of error is +/- 4%.

“This race is going to come down to who has the momentum and organization,” said John Del Cecato, a RABA Research founder and principal. “After Sanders’ surprise win in Michigan, he is showing a lot of life in his campaign and the voters of Missouri aren’t ready to give up on him yet.”

“We believe this race is too close to call, with a slight edge to Clinton,” said Tim Albrecht, a RABA Research founder and principal. “A Sanders win would still be considered an upset, but at this point the result Tuesday night will be close no matter who pulls off the win.”

In addition to the head-to-head matchup, our research shows Clinton with a 74% - 11% lead over Sanders with African-American voters, and Sanders with a 58% - 29% lead over voters 18-35 years old.

I should know, i lived there for 30 years. You have a rabid conservatism throughout most of the state minus Kc and STL. And in KC and St. Louis, you have a lot of colleges and college aged kids. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but the problem is that college educated kids that grow up in Missouri have undoubtedly seen the worst side of Missouri. I know I did. I saw people in my own community pretending to be super "godly" by hating everyone on the face of the earth but themselves. And they really hate Hillary Clinton because she is both a woman and a liberal. And now you have people my age or younger believing the rws lies about her for all these years. So now they think Bernie is the only way to go for someone that speaks "for them." I like Bernie a lot. But I think the way Clinton has been portrayed here and elsewhere for so long is bullshit. And sanders knows this and is playing on this. And it is working. :/
