Some Bernie fans seem to be losing hope and are announcing they will vote for...

....the Green Party candidate, Jill Stein.

I had never heard of her so I had to do some reading. Jill Stein is as qualified to be President as Ben Carson. Like Carson she is physician.

She has run for several offices - Massachusetts House of Representatives, Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth, Governor of Massachusetts, and President of the United States on Green Party ticket in 2012. She lost each of those races by very large margins.

However, in 2005 she did manage to win 539 votes and get herself elected as one of 21 Town Meeting Representatives in her home town of Lexington, Massachusetts. Lexington has a huge population of 31,394. She was reelected to that post in 2008.

With all of that experience I can see why some believe that she is totally qualified to be President of the United States and leader of the free world.

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Bernie Bro is a slur meant to paint Sanders supporters as racist and misogynist. It's an internet myth made up just to smear Sanders supporters. It has no place on DU.

JURY RESULTS

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sun Mar 13, 2016, 05:55 AM, and the Jury voted 4-3 to HIDE IT.

Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Enough with the Bernie Bro nonsense.
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: The OP and this post would be offensive to Bernie supporters. Is the purpose of the Hillary group to be slanderous to the opposing team?
Juror #4 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: if this post is hidden it is an absolute disgrace and a signature example of alert stalking. I'm hoping my vote screws over your shameful alert stalking attempt, my little Bernie-bro.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Racism didn't even cross my mind when I read it.
To me, it seems like a Hillary supporter made a comment in support of Hillary in the Hillary Clinton forum.
That's to be expected, isn't it?
For info; I'm still on the fence between Bernie and Hillary, although no matter which one gets the nomination, that's who I will vote for.

like Super Delegates are their best friends.

After complaining that these Superdelegates were going to hand Hillary the nomination, for months, they've now realized that she is going to win with the votes, and arguing that even if she's ahead, if she's sort of the necessary delegates, that the super delegates should hand Bernie the nomination.

Bernie himself argued this this morning.

Also, Jake, I would say that, as the campaign progresses and if, if we do well in a number of states, and if the general sentiment becomes that Bernie Sanders is the candidate who will defeat Donald Trump -- and all of the polls -- virtually all of the polls have me doing better against Trump than Hillary Clinton -- I think a lot of those superdelegates who are today pledged to Hillary Clinton may say, what's most important is defeating Trump or the Republican nominee. Bernie Sanders is the candidate to do that. We're going to swing over to Bernie.

The audacity of complaining for months that the super delegates were going to override the will of the voters and then coming out now and asking super delegates to do just that, to disenfranchise all of us that have supported Hillary, to hand him the nomination is unbelievable.

Great point. Actually the only thing that can possibly keep Hillary from locking up the nomination before the convention is the super delegates. Consider that if the super
delegates didn't exist and only pledged delegates counted, in a two person race the person with the most pledged delegates after all of the primaries and caucuses are over is automatically the winner. Given the proportional nature of the delegate splitting, once one candidate is well ahead, as Hillary is now, it is very difficult for the opponent to catch up.

However, to cinch the nomination before the convention without the super delegates, a candidate has to win not only half of all of the pledged delegates +1, but also enough additional pledged candidates to equal half of the super delegates. That is a higher hill to climb.

However, if Hillary enters the convention with any kind of a pledged delegate lead, there is no way that the super delegates are going to suddenly give the nomination to a non-Democrat. I have my doubts whether they would give the nomination to Sanders if he had the pledged delegate lead entering the convention - but that isn't going to happen.

Bernie is singing the song of a beaten candidate.
