We birthed you. We raised you and we loved you. Why all this vicious hatred of women? Softly I cry. I don't get it. I don't get what we did to you.
You hate us. The filth that I have read here and allowed to stand is disheartening. Actually it is heartbreaking when posts on violence against women are allowed to stand. I read something about bricks the other day. Wow! Allowed to stand on a DEMOCRATIC BOARD.
Yes. I am upset. Deep breath, listen to this once again. This is for women and the strong sweet gentle loving men that stand with us.
Violence against women. WE SAY NO MORE!

(32,610 posts)It is a non-governmental agency that provides some assistance to several hundred families a month in the community. The needs have increased and donations have not kept up. We were making hard decisions yesterday and some feelings were hurt as we went back and forth on where to cut expenses, etc. In the past decisions were always made by consensus with little disagreement.
The board is racially mixed and age diverse and I was concerned that some "camps" might be developing as we prepared to adjourn. I am the newest member of the board and maybe this has happened before but it was a new experience for me.
So, I asked everyone to wait a minute as I turned my laptop around on the conference table and mentioned that it was International Women's Day the day before and I thought we should all watch a video.
They gathered together in front of the screen and I watched as body language changed and faces softened as tears started running. Soon we were all holding hands. We all hugged each other and left speaking softly about the power of our common bond.
I ran some errands and by time I got home I had three messages on my phone. By mid-morning today I had several emails. I heard from every board member, all 10 of them. They were sharing One Woman with friends, daughters, granddaughters, and their mothers.
I think we are going to be okay and our mission holds.

(1,820 posts)Is this about people not voting or supporting Hillary Clinton or is this post about supporting woman and helping them fight for rights, freedom, equal pay, and freedom from watching their children dragged off to war by a corporatist america.
I thought that the Democratic Party was about letting people vote for who they think the best candidate will be and not based on ones sex or color. Am I wrong.
I am a staunch feminist and have myself struggled against oppression and abuse. To say that my vote for Bernie is "harming" women is an insult and actually pretty hurtful and certainly will not encourage me that Hillary is the candidate for me.
Thanks for posting so that Hillary and her supporters stanch is clear.

(51,571 posts)A 7-0 hide for posting a picture of Beyonce flipping the bird from her Formation video. You didn't even use the f-word. You just posted the picture and the word "Boom!" That's it. It is obvious you were responding in solidarity to my posting of Beyonce's video of her performing Formation at the Superbowl. I can't imagine what those jurors were thinking. It is obvious you were not attacking anyone. Maybe those jurors did not recognize that the picture was of Beyonce, but since when are pictures of people shooting the bird verboten? There are several posters here whose avatar is someone shooting the bird.
And yet a jury let stand the post in GDP that started all this. It used the f-word. It used sexually violent language toward a woman.
Disgusting.
Cha
(297,291 posts)look at the post that was allowed to stand and this one that got a 7-0 hide for posting a pic of Beyoncé from her Reformation Vid!

(4,035 posts)That much is abundantly clear. They are alerting and trying to hide all posts that they can twist into being negative, even when it is a picture of Beyoncé flipping the bird in a video for a song that is about police violence against Black people. I eman, really, how un-liberal can you get?
And if this post is hidden, the jury is simply confirming exactly what I have said.

(3,580 posts)And why do people hate Beyonce? Why are some Bernie supporters so angry? How does a Hillary supporters get a hide in the Hillary group? Some Bernie supporters are going to have a very difficult election season.
jmowreader
(50,559 posts)This is the unstated theme song of the Bernie Brigade:
It should be pretty easy to understand WHY they can't play that at Bernie's pep rallies.
They're angry because they come from a generation that's never heard the word "no" before. Now they're asking for things that simply can't be done, and they're taking it out on everyone when someone tells them, "we can't do that." If you've been in General Discussion-Bernie for more than a minute, you've probably noticed some variation on this graphic: a picture of Hillary Clinton with the words "No We Can't!" written on it. Well, ya know something? In some cases we really can't. No one can.
A Hillary supporter gets a hide in the Hillary group because DU was never designed for the possibility of an internecine war. The system allows any member to alert on a post no matter where in the board it is, and allows any member to serve on the jury for that post. In the open part of DU (which many of us refer to as "Bernie Underground" that system makes sense. In the Groups it's a different story: we're getting to the point where there needs to be a "Candidates" section in the Groups menu, you can only join one candidate's group, and you need to be a member of that group to alert on or jury posts in it. Since we don't have that, the Bernie people are running roughshod over the Hillary group.

UtahLib
(3,179 posts)Sound familiar to you SheenaR? Makes one wonder as to your motive for coming into the Hillary group to chastise and lecture a poster who is no longer able to respond due to, once again, being alert stalked from this board. I don't know why you assume that Sheshe2 is attempting to speak for all women. It's more than obvious to me that she is speaking only for herself based on confusion and hurt as why anyone would post such filthy invective toward a woman simply because he doesn't support her candidacy. Sheshe shared her concerns and disappointment with people she trusts and yet, someone found it perfectly acceptable to censor her. You might consider looking to your own backyard for the opportunity to provide some sorely needed advice in decency. I truly hope you are more honorable and mature than to post here in hopes of gaining what your fellows consider to be a badge of honor to place in your sig line.

(297,291 posts)what a sad state of affairs our place is. I'm not buying it.
This is our Group for Hillary Supporters. I have no clue what posters you're talking about that got blocked for "nice responses" as you say. I'm betting they were "nice responses" like you think you're giving about the "sad state of affairs". But, we're not here to argue that point.
We're here to support Hillary for POTUS and to support our members which we are doing in this thread.
Your response may have been "genuine" but you got it wrong.
if a Hillary supporter went into BS' group and said what a "sad state of affairs" it was they'd be blocked in a NY second. So why should you be entitled to anymore consideration here?
