Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumNo gloom allowed! Hillary increased her delegate lead yesterday! (CLINTON GROUP)
CLINTON 766 - SANDERS 549 without Supers She had a +199 lead the day before.
Not as much as we would have liked, but still the day was hers where it mattered, delegates!
And she increased her popular vote lead (not that we count it, but still...)

(31,170 posts)and i'm wondering why they still have votes out, but other than that, an increase of her delegate lead is a good result!

(27,995 posts)But I was disappointed because I want the primaries to be over asap. Instead of debating each other, the Democrats should be spending our energy rallying around our nominee to team up against the real enemy, the GOP and Trump.

(31,170 posts)she increased her delegate lead, I went to bed happy. Plus the fact that they both spoke so early, clued me in to the fact that they both knew it would be close.

(23,730 posts)So as far as numbers, she was the winner yesterday. Yes, Bernie had a great "underdog" morale boost with his 1.5% win in Michigan. But let's not lose sight of the prize!
Lucinda
(31,170 posts)tighter than we did, based upon something I read this morning. Which is also probably why she and Bernie both spoke early. They knew it would be tight. Chi posted a good piece about why the polls were wrong that made a lot of sense, and I'm sure both campaigns already knew it.

(297,511 posts)well with Dems but the cross overs in Michigan screw up our Dem Primary.
"Clinton won 57-41 (per polling!) among Democrats, Bernie won 70-28 among independents. Its the Open Primary Effect."

Thanks Luncinda!

(31,170 posts)Edwards and Obama didn't run in the state, so the models they used to base the current polling on, were not normal demographics for Michigan. If the next states come in as polled, I think that will have explained the anomaly we just saw in MI.
I'm still annoyed that there are areas of Flint still not counted, but all in all, it was not a bad day!
