There is a thread out there titled: Washington Post Ran 16 Negative Stories on Bernie Sanders in 16 Hours and the Bernie folks are up in arms because there hero is finally starting to get some scrutiny. I replied, "yeah and they have probably run 50,000 or more negative stories on Hillary since 1992--you gotta suck it up."

(23,690 posts)So true. It's about time Bernie began to feel the burn, I mean the heat. The press and media have pretty much let him skate for the past year. Not surprising to see his supporter whine the first time any real critical analysis is done on his positions.

I'm convinced that to whatever degree the media was "ignoring" Bernie, it only allowed him to continue for much longer than he would have ordinarily been able to do.
His supporters confused this with actual support and assumed (incorrectly) that his support would "skyrocket" if only the corporatist oligarchy establishment media would give him some coverage.
Well, now we see what happens when people take a critical look at things. The myth vs reality. Reality wins.
