Hillary Clinton

I really didn't want to believe it. I've made it a point to stay out of most of the sniping between the two Democratic camps, but now I see that the other side -- Senator Sanders supporters here -- are extraordinarily rude. I posted this thread and well... You can see the replies here:

(7,480 posts)I stayed out of it because I think both sides are good options. I just happen to prefer Secretary Clinton, and I didn't see the merit in arguing. Now I see the Sanders people aren't even willing to be civil and discussion things for the most part.

(7,480 posts)I laughed at the Republicans last night for how uncivil and rude they were being. Hard to see Democrats being little better on this board. At least there's a refuge in this group.

(4,640 posts)go through that unpleasantness. Your OP was well worded, and obviously thought out. It was NOT offensive, nor was it a "loyalty pledge" to a candidate.

(7,480 posts)I know it's best to not try to discuss anything with them. It's utterly pointless as they have no mind for it and can only spew endless rabid talking points. More emotional than reasonable.

(11,746 posts)I'm sorry for their poor behavior. Maybe it will get better after the primaries?
Maybe not.

(7,480 posts)If there plan is to stay home or vote Trump if Sanders doesn't get the nomination, I've no interest in ever seeing anything they have to say or any post they make.

(31,849 posts)Anyone can take any brave assed, principled stance from the safety of their keyboard. Look at the majority of those making the "my candidate or bust" claims ... One of them admitted that he has NEVER voted before; others, are living some keyboard heroic fantasy where their "principled" stance will magically lead to some leftist utopia.
It's all BS ... the 10% of brave DUers that would play out their fantasy, represent .000001% of the electorate ... if that!

(7,480 posts)We called them "Keyboard Kommandos". I think the term applies quite aptly to the Bernie supporters.

(31,849 posts)aren't Democrats, and aren't even Bernie supporters. Rather, they are about destroying "the system" (whatever the #$%& that means), in general, and the Democratic Party, in particular ... and they come to Democratic spaces because it's the only place they feel any relevancy.
Stand and Fight
(7,480 posts)I also don't care for how some of them seem to think that if Blacks aren't voting for Bernie and buying into their smears against Clinton, then somehow we're being fooled. God forbid that we have an opinion of our own based on informed political beliefs! The way some of Bernie's supporters act, one does start to wonder if they're trying to turn people off from Sanders altogether. Their actions and words are hardly big tent Democratic.

(1,446 posts)We really need time as a party to heal. This is where we will find out if he has any loyalty to the Democratic Party, a good party player would want to achieve a unified front come November.
Stand and Fight
(7,480 posts)I don't think what's going on currently is healthy or serves any purpose but to split the party and help the Republicans win.

(11,257 posts)I have yet to see a single HRC supporter threaten to stay home or vote third party if Sanders wins. Personally, I'd be happy to vote for him if he's the nominee as I agree with him on most issues. The problem is that I think he's a terrible candidate who is likely to be a disaster as President.
The bottom line is this: anyone who thinks that there isn't a universe of distance between EITHER Clinton or Sanders and any of the lunatics on the GOP side is delusional.
