(92,396 posts)moderators that make ruling on specific TOS criteria would go a long way to weeding out alert stalking and bias
NurseJackie
(42,862 posts)... having human moderators to keep an eye on the jury results could be a good start. (Even if it was just regular "spot-checking"... kinda like random drug testing for law enforcement jobs. It won't catch everyone, but it will discourage abuse and perhaps eliminate the obvious repeat offenders.)
Having alerts be NOT anonymous would probably help. Having longer time-outs when a jury votes 7-0 against hiding would also help. Perhaps having daily limits would prevent stalking-type behavior. Maybe 6-1 or 5-2 results would be the break-point for a 24 hour waiting period. Automatic review for 4-3 "close calls" of hidden posts would be a positive change.
Of course, all of these suggestions would require additional programming and testing of the code. Code doesn't just write itself... so it's likely to be at least a year before anything meaningful happens.

(92,396 posts)There has to be a specific set of guide lines.
Alerting just because someone disagrees with a post is too ambiguous
