Guess he really thought he'd win. This article also gives insight on how his team thinks they can still win the nomination...
I kind of think not?

(26,111 posts)Those wins don't count, my fellow Tarheel, because they are southern states or red states or something.

Some of the supporters also seem to adopt a modified trump approach, by implying that African Americans, Hispanics, and other ethnic groups who support Hillary have no idea what they are doing, and then proceed to utilize the "brow beating" approach to those Hillary supporters.
It's the old theory that when you go out of your way to disparage someone's views by name calling and insults, people drop everything they thought, and follow you without question.

(1,545 posts)They love to talk about how he will still pick up some delegates in the states Hillary wins, but seem to have not noticed that she will pick up at least as many in states he might win.

(1,968 posts)Looking at it, the weakness in the argument is that Sanders is giving up on far more states than Clinton (Clinton has mostly abandoned MA, but that may change here yet).
So Clinton is running up the counts in more states than Sanders is...which is not a win for him.
Sure, our primaries are proportionate, and getting a large percentage of delegates requires a very high percentage win. That's something Clinton is on track to do in a few states on Tuesday...Bernie has one (small) state.
That's no reason not to fight for every last delegate if you have the time, energy, and money. At this point, the energy level in the Sanders campaign seems to be waning a bit, and money's clearly a problem even with the PAC spending Bernie has going for him.
