(2,074 posts)You count among the Bernie supporters whose posts I like to read over at GD-P, since you frequently seem to be the voice of reason.
Your candidate did well too today. On to the next context!

(7,010 posts)out for her in the GE. She has to stop saying no we can't all the time. She has to say we a lot more. I'm worried about young voter apathy right now.

(2,074 posts)I think he can, if he wants to, bring quite a bit of his support over to Hillary. Perhaps not all, but that is inevitable. And yes, she will have to emphasize policies that will show the youth vote that she is on their side.
But for now, he has not lost yet. I do think Hillary will win, but the primaries are not over.

(6,537 posts)Just so you know, if Bernie ends up being the nominee somehow, this Hillary supporter would walk over hot coals to vote for him too. We can't let Trump/Cruz/Mariobot or Kasich near the White House. Bernie's a classy guy.

(7,010 posts)that but I believe we will have to wait for someone else. If if she does incrementally it's a step in the right direction.

(11,631 posts)Hillary Clinton winning the nomination will be great for all of us, and it won't hurt a bit!

(15,438 posts)It's why they want the White House. If we can get President Obama's person in this year, then we've already made huge progress. However, it could be that he'll have to wait till January 2017, in those few days with a new Democratic Senate, to get his pick through. And then there are three, maybe four, more to go...

(41,999 posts)I know all Bernie supporters aren't assholes, but...damn. So your congratulations are much appreciated.

(19,826 posts)anyone that's reasonable will congratulate the other and vote for the nominee. I support her but will vote Sanders if he is the nominee. I'm to old to be a fanatic about much of anything.

(10,844 posts)I think most if not all Hillary supporters appreciate the graciousness. It was a hard fought race.

(32,342 posts)I hope you and other reasonable voices can persuade the Bernie supporters who aren't so gracious. Just as there are a few Hillary supporters who have been inappropriate and do not represent most of us, I know that come fall we have to do everything we can to make sure we keep President Obama's programs going and improve upon them.
That said, I'm ecstatic tonight !!

(7,010 posts)she's been the no we can't candidate. That's not inspiring. If she wins the nomination (IMO she will) she's going to have make changes in her platform and sell them on how she will deliver.
Good luck with that. She better work quickly because we have to beat the crazies.
The Republican field is scary as hell.

(145,689 posts)I hope that you understand that many of Clinton supporters, myself included, like Sanders on a personal level. One of my good friends is running the Sanders field operations in Louisiana. In Texas, there may fewer hard feelings between Sanders supporters and Clinton supporters in part because Sanders supporters and Clinton supporters share a common enemy and we are outnumbered.

You have come around just in time to confess where you have been, and now realize where you must go to win.
