At the Tampa FL rally Trumps line of attack against Hillary was business as usual: emails, opinion polls, then came this:
'I'd love to run against her,' he said of Clinton. 'I'd also love to run against the communist.'
'I never thought we'd see the day in our country,' he said, 'when a communist because that's really, if you think about it when a communist is the leading Democrat!'
'We're going to have a communist against the entrepreneur. I like the entrepreneur. Don't you think?

It's bare faced lie of course
but only Sanders I think, certainly not Hillary, has talked about a revolution.
Even a kid could put some out of context quotes from Bernie in front of a red scare stuff.
They have thrown the Kitchen sink at Hillary, for Bernie it's only just beginning.

They may hide our posts warning about it by calling it "red baiting" but the universe outside of DU is very very sensitive to those kinds of attacks.

(10,832 posts)As much as I know Bernie Sanders would be eviscerated in a General Election, I despise this sort of attack from the right-wing. It throws us back to the McCarthy years: the better dead than red nonsense. We've listened to the GOP smear Barack Obama as a 'Marxist, socialist, Muslim, anti-American' throughout his entire presidency. It doesn't have to make sense.
On the other hand, this is just the beginning for Saint Bernard and his supporters. The Great Vetting will open all sorts of cracks and fissures in the thin veneer of Sanders' campaign, until fact and fiction are made equally punishing. Get ready. It's coming. The word 'revolution' is red meat for Republican oppo researchers. They no doubt think they died and went to heaven. And The Donald? He'll have an absolute field day.
Ask Hillary Clinton. She's withstood decades of this propaganda garbage, the Great Smear Machine that grinds into motion every election cycle. She has survived it all and still stands, strong.
