I have never - ever- had a post hidden on DU. I am totally and thoroughly disgusted by the lack of balance shown here. Trash and outright lies against Hillary are posted on a daily basis. Yet when I post an article - written by a feminist who felt strongly about the sexism shown towards her by BS supporters - that post is hidden.
The post was NOT in GD-P where it might be disruptive. It was here in the HRC Group, where it did NOT smear BS, but merely expressed the writer's opinion about what the choices in this election are.
Those are not necessarily MY opinions. But I will say this: actions like this are specifically intended to have a chilling effect on free speech.
There is NO even-handedness shown by juries who allow almost EVERY single trash post against HRC or her supporters to stand and then squelch even the most implicit hint of criticism - even well-founded criticism - against her opponent.
This is nothing but TYRANNY from the left. Tyranny is the antithesis of democracy.
If this post gets hidden, then we shall know that tyranny reigns triumphant here on the erstwhile Democratic Underground.

Leaning Clinton, but open to Sander's message. And then I came here..... I am confident I would have decided for Clinton anyway, but doubt I would be as solid as I am without the goading I received here and on Twitter. I have a sticker on my car already, and donated far more than usual this early in the game.
And like you, I have some political cred in the real world and use it sway opinions on the outside. It is funny too, because many of my less political friends assume that I am feeling the bern too, and they I blow up their Sanders love fest FB thread. Politely and with facts, but just burn them all the way down 
group and the AA Forum than anywhere else on DU these days.

I'm only laughing out of frustration. 
But I will be using that frustration actively to work FOR Clinton, whereas I might have sat back otherwise and let the capable others do it for me. If anything, such treatment has galvanized me.
This forum is NOT a safe place.

Whether it does or not.. it's still here. 
HRC supporters are a great group - and most BS supporters are too. 
The nasty ones are like spoiled brats, over-indulged and - in at least some instances that I know of firsthand - using trust fund monies or their elders' savings to rail against "The Establishment."
They don't "get" the irony in that at all. 
And the only "free speech" they wish to respect and protect is their own! 
they themselves are like the GOP.
I LOVE the AA Group because there are adults like you there!
They really do not see how similar they are to RW GOPers. That is truly frightening.
Your post was hidden but the original post was left alone. 
But the Hillary campaign would have had another $50 contribution from me had it been hidden.
Perhaps I'll change my vow to contribute for every Alert instead of for a Hide, which could get me thrown off DU entirely. I could really max out soon!
