"Obama said, the political culture needed to change so that there was less inclination to lie to voters, insult rivals or propose policies unsupported by science."Rather than reward the most extreme voices, or divisive voices, or who is best at launching schoolyard taunts, we should be insisting on a higher form of discussion in our political life"

(4,451 posts)Also Jan 25th, he said this:
"You're always looking at the bright, shiny object that people haven't seen before that's a disadvantage to her," he said.
But Obama suggested that Clinton was offering a more comprehensive slate of policy proposals than Sanders, who has largely focused on economic inequality and breaking up big Wall Street banks, and that she would ultimately benefit from her experience of having run for President before."

"Obama didn't mention either of the Democratic candidates, his former rival and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders. But his legacy depends on one of them winning the White House, with both promising to build upon Obama's work."
Only Hillary has said she will build on the President's legacy. The other candidate has said just the opposite.
So many reporters show they're just not paying attention.
This is so momentous.. the President going back to Springfield, Illinois and give a brilliant speech on how far we've come. I love that he's using 2016 to protect his legacy that everyone worked so hard for.
He's not going to let anyone destroy it. My money is on President Obama.. he's earned my trust.

(4,451 posts)Holder made some comments as well as Carney. I think signs are pointing our way. He has to publicly remain neutral but in my honest opinion he wants Hillary to win. (Sorry. I read your post wrong)
