Meta: My suggestion for improving alerts in groups

A very straightforward suggestion (Though how hard it would be to implement, I have no idea):

Users who have been blocked from a group cannot alert on posts in that group or serve on juries for that group.

The end.

9. The only "recourse" is that a 7-0 loss means no alerting for 24 hours.

So, they just wait and try again tomorrow. A "team" of 24 alerters can alert willy-nilly round the clock.

But, considering that the average ratio of juries is 6:1 (pro-Bernie) the chances of a 7-0 ruling are pretty damn slim.

8. Like it! I also think juries should have no say in groups. We have hosts for a reason.

It seems like we could certainly manage ourselves.

Skinner has said changes are in the works but wont come into play until after the primaries...so in the meantime.....

10. the only ones who can implement that are the Admins. So you'd have to take it to ATA, GH.

Thank you. something needs to be done about the abusive alerts and hides from the majority of the poster on DU.

That would be a start
