(9,350 posts)I liked the video. It was not what I expected. I expected Hillary Clinton to announce she was running for President and then spend the rest of the video explaining why she was running. It was nice that the video included people talking about things they were going to do and then showed Clinton announcing she was going to run for President and why she wanted to run.

(57,936 posts)coincidence, but if there are more coincidences of that nature, it becomes suspicious.
I do not trust Hillary at all.
I thought her video was cute but a total cop-out. So far Hillary has avoided any real scrutiny, any probing questions about what she wants to do if she becomes president.
I'm not voting for Hillary.
She is not even telling us what she stands for.
Cute pictures? Inclusion? Those things are great, but what does she want to achieve? What are her goals? How does she plan to reach them?
I'm waiting for something more than a feel good video. They are a dime a dozen on YouTube.

(41,832 posts)insinuating that DU being down was some suspicious plot by Hillary or anyone for that matter.
That is just creepy thinking. It's one thing to be against her but it's another to jump into the realm of kookery.
Pure unadulterated batshit crazy kookery. I used to respect your posts even if I didn't agree with them.

(13,069 posts)What are you talking about? She told us her focus and her goals. She did not give details...because this was a kick-off. Really, you will look for any reason to condemn her, even if you have to twist your logic into a pretzel to do it.
Perhaps you should not be in this Hillary group?

(81,441 posts)It softens her up and helps position her as "one of us." GENIUS!!!! Shrewd as hell!!!
Dare I think I heard her respond to the needs of those of us who appreciate where people like Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders are coming from? Granted, I have always supported Hillary Clinton and I've said so here. But I too like and appreciate Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders. If I thought either one of them had a REALISTIC chance to win, there I'd be. But I think Hillary Clinton is the one who has the best chance to win. If she's going to launch a listening tour, that is frickin' BRILLIANT!!!!! That's how she won 'em over all over New York State when everybody sneered and dismissed her as a rookie carpetbagger when she first ran for the open Senate seat from the Empire State. If she's going on a listening tour, you better believe she's gonna hear a TON about Warren- and Sanders-style advocacy. And I hope she will see how much she needs to embrace that and make it her own.
If she can do that, she probably has it locked.

She seems more relaxed this time.
I'll vote for her if she is our nominee. (Of course that's obvious)
Might knock on a few doors too.
I need to know how to get involved in my state.

(13,570 posts)She is showing diverse, everyday Americans working hard and doing their best.
She has the RIGHT economic message: "We have dug out of the recession, and now we need to go forward and get wages up. We need MIDDLE CLASS ECONOMICS. And I want to be THAT champion."
Just MASTERFUL ! I sent in a donation, and the RePUKES are shitting bricks right now.

(18,638 posts)Equality for everyone including all the people Republicans want to destroy and protection from the 1% powers at the top.
I expect the equality part is accurate, I just hope the 1% part is too.
If I heard that she had Warren on her team as a major supporting voice I would feel better.
whereisjustice
(2,941 posts)with this fluffy nonsense. She's consuming a staggering amount of resources and political capital from the Democratic Party.
She's yet to prove she can govern by doing the right thing as opposed to what is politically convenient for her own best interests.

(11,619 posts)This video is about image.
This is a video of he Democratic party.
We have gay couples, single mothers, families, middle class, working class, young, middle age, elderly; all of them struggling to live normal lives to make their lives.
She did not exclude anyone for their choice of a marriage partner, job, ethnicity, religion, non-religion, age, culture.
I would suggest that everyone watch this video without the sound. Watch it for the images. Most of us will find ourselves in that video.
We will see big policy statements later as the election defines what issues will come to the front of the American experience. This wasn't about policy, it was about inclusion and image.

(6,652 posts)1) She went positive. This in itself is huge. Positive!
2) Her ad features regular people amid their lives. We could sure see ourselves.
3) We would be thrilled to vote for a woman. And she is competent.
Excellent beginning.
(And the contrast with any rethug is monumental.)
