Hillary Clinton

I see someone is saying there shouldn't be a passing of the crown...
The only person who passed the "crown" to Hillary Clinton was Obama when he named her Secretary of State.
It wasn't her husband.
Think about it. When he picked her, this gave her the foreign affairs creds for the job. She has always been good on social issues.
By picking Hillary he also showed confidence in her as a leader.

(4,112 posts)And by extension, that newbie poster last night who suggested - in fact, stated - that none of Hillary's accomplishments were her own was so dead wrong that it was laughable. Straight to IGNORE! If anything, the reverse is true - that many of Bill's accomplishments and successes were driven by Hillary. There's no crown-passing. This woman is one of the most brilliant and visionary leaders that this nation has been privileged to have in public service.

She is good at giving speeches just as football players are good at playing football and they get lots of money.

(30,058 posts)I get worried if Carley jumps into the race, you know she has traveled lots like Hillary but unlike Hillary, she was fired from Hewlett Packard. I just don't know how Hillary is going to overcome this hurtle. Lol

(145,554 posts)The GOP has a policy of letting the next person in line be the nominee. That is how Dole, McCain and Romney got the nomination. Democrats do not have a similar tradition. HRC is the most qualified person right now for the office in my opinion.

(30,058 posts)the president. She has spent time in the Senate, shown ability to work across the aisle while there, did a great job presenting a healthcare plan though the GOP was never going to allow it to pass, had to get a Democrat Congress to get this great law passed. She has been a long time advocate for Civil Rights and I am so happy about her advocacy on Women's and children's issues. She worked hard for education while first lady of Arkansas. She is deep rooted in government affairs. She is surrounding herself with a good team, and I think she has President Obama on her team in the background.
She does make it easy to back her because of her experience, I am not reading very much on other potential candidates here, I will take Hillary's record any time.
