Gen. Clark, Emily's List head campaign on behalf of Clinton
WATERLOO | Black Hawk County Democratic chairwoman and former Black Hawk County Recorder Pat Sass endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
“I like what she stands for. I like that she’s for the middle class. There’s a lot of us that aren’t rich people, and I think she will do a good job,” Sass said on Thursday. “I think her ideas are good, and so we’ll see where it goes.”
Sass said Clinton would have the additional plus, if she’s elected, of being joined in the White House by her husband and former President Bill Clinton, whom Sass also supported.
Sass had been a proponent of Vice President Joe Biden getting into the race and even endorsed the Draft Biden movement that indicated she’d support his campaign if he decided to run.

Lily Adams, Clinton’s Iowa communications director, sent a tweet welcoming Sass to Clinton’s camp.
“Another post-JJ endorsement,” Adams said, referring to last weekend’s annual Iowa Democratic Party Jefferson-Jackson dinner. “Great to have Black Hawk County Chair Pat Sass on the team.”
