Obama: Making Hillary Clinton secretary of State one of my ‘best decisions’

Asking Hillary Clinton to serve as secretary of State was "one of the best decisions I ever made as president," President Obama told philanthropists and donors gathered Tuesday at the Clinton Global Initiative meeting in New York City.

The president showered the former first lady — and front-runner for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination — with praise, saying he "will always be grateful for her extraordinary leadership."

Obama went on to joke that he still had "a lot of debt to pay" because of the miles Clinton traveled when in his administration. But he also praised the former New York senator for her "post-administration glow."
"She looks much more rested," Obama said to laughter.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton leaves behind enormous 20-year legacy with exit from office following start of President Obama's second term

I admire Hillary so much for her answer to President Obama's call to service. They started working together for the good of the country and our Planet. Not stuck in the past like so many people who only want to go on and on about..

"What about 2008.. neener neener neener?" Stay in 2008, dudes.. I've moved on.

Not surprised he said that either.

They both demonstrate the ability to work with others who may disagree with them on some things.

I respect that in both of them.

It's a good way to be persuasive. Leading by example.

This is the reality that happened after the contentious 2008 primary.

As I said in the OP.. I admired Hillary very much for that.. and continued to root for her and President Obama.

Which is the same as rooting for our Country. We need all the help we can get to ward off the enemy within.

I appreciate your kind words. Every day I'm appreciative of having a roof over my head, having friends and family. It's not always perfect but I'm grateful.

I feel they both are trying their best to provide opportunities for more people. I pray that the divisions in our country & world will be reduced and that we continue moving forward to expand opportunities. I pray that more people can have better access to health care and better wages.

They both set a strong example by moving beyond their small differences, toward sacrifice and service for the common good. They can do it. I believe we can too. Maybe not with everyone. But certainly with others who share open hearts.

It's amazing when you remember how bad it was during bush's two terms when it seemed like we'd never get out of there.

Well here we are.. 7 years later and Pres Obama has had an excellent time in Office.. and, I do mean all things considered.

And, we're going to do it again in 2016!

It means so much to so many millions of people!

went far to heal the party after the 2008 primary. It also created much good will for Hillary. I was an adament supporter of the President in both 2008 and 2012, but Hillary's wilingness to get in there and work with him lead me to look at her anew and with respect.

A gun moll (aka gangster moll) is the female companion of a male professional criminal. In some contexts, 'gun moll' more specifically suggests that the woman handles a firearm.

So you are saying Clinton is a mobster, and Obama is the mob king? Just what are you trying to be cute about?

My DIL was told by a (white) friend that Carson is "everything we thought Obama was but wasn't." Huh?

She's one of those wonderfully easygoing and charming people who gather friends all over the place, and political spectrum, but even her vast tolerance is being strained by the election-season nonsense that's epidemic here in Georgia.
