'Hillary was masterful and she wiped up the floor with Bernie' They thought Martin O'Malley at least helped himself.

They also said she basically made it almost impossible for Biden to enter the race.

Sometimes I forget how smart she really is and she's even more brilliant after going through the crucible of a run against Barack Obama who was a once in a lifetime phenomena.

And she even used Bernie's rant about her emails and turned it into him defending her by just smiling and shaking his hand. He couldn't even help smiling back. Ha! What a woman!

Clinton and O’Malley slam Sanders on gun control

snip//

In one of the earliest and most engaging moments from the first Democratic debate, Hillary Clinton and Martin O’Malley took on Bernie Sanders’ position on gun laws.

Ms Clinton was asked on Tuesday night if Mr Sanders’ is tough enough on gun control. She simply replied, “No, not at all.”

The Democratic front-runner continued to say that it’s time America “stood up against the NRA.”

Ms Clinton, 67, and Martin O'Malley, 52, both criticised Mr Sanders, 74, for voting against legislation that would hold gun shops accountable for deadly shootings. Mr Sanders defended his record while Ms Clinton said that he was dead wrong on the issue.

“I voted against it. I was in the Senate at the same time," she said. "It wasn't that complicated to me. It was pretty straightforward to me that [Mr Sanders] was going to give immunity to the only industry in America.”

Mr O’Malley pointed to his record as the former Governor of Maryland. He of also questioned Mr Sanders commitment to pushing gun laws. However, Mr Sanders responded for better mental health services and stronger background checks. He also shouted while saying that "shouting" will not help acheive the outcome most Americans want.

Hillary showed the world last night that she has what it takes to lead our Country. And, she did seem to align herself with President Obama, and a lot of people are really appreciating that, including myself. I've seen quite a few tweets referring to it..

She is very impressive. O'Malley helped his national image quite a bit. Lincoln Chaffee and Jim Webb both made a couple of good points, but were overall not very impressive. O'Malley's closing statement was the best of the five. His attacks on HRC make him look silly and weak. He should stick to policy. His attempts to claim he is an outsider were were absurd.

Hillary was a her very best when she was given some space to attack the GOP. It is no wonder the GOP is pulling out every dirty trick in the book. We can only hope the GOP keeps the Speaker disaster in the news for awhile to show the level of total incompetence of the all the GOP politicians.

Bernie doesn't care how he looks. He's going for "angry dissident" rather than higher office.

Hillary appeared as "presidential" as anyone could be. But to be honest, Superpresident Obama has set a high bar.
