Interesting letter in the local paper

by an Internet consultant:

About 60 percent of federal agency computer systems, including those at the State Department, have been subject to successful hacks and break-ins. One recently at the Office of Personnel Management gushed 21.5 million personnel records out into the wild. An e-mail server can be pretty strong against attacks if well-executed, inside or outside of large agencies. Running a private e-mail server is certainly not a best practice and warrants criticism, but can Comey truly assure that Clinton’s e-mail would have been more secure on a federal server?

But it's true the media wouldn't think of applying any angle to anything that might be fair to Hillary. That's just not how they roll.

I started thinking last night about the election of 2000. There M$M harped about Al Gore's lockbox and spread outright falsehoods about Gore claiming to have invented the Internet. At the same time, they blithered on about how Dubya was someone people would feel comfortable having a beer with. Too bad that was false on multiple levels--Dubya is a recovering alcoholic so wouldn't drink beer and so elite that he would never DREAM of socializing with the average American voter. It was just enough to keep the election close so the Rethugs could steal it.

The result was an 8-year disaster that included 9/11, Iraq invasion, and the crushing of our national economy. Apparently M$M is okay with that because they are at it again--holding the qualified candidate to a ridiculous double standard and looking the other way at the looney tune leading the Rethuglican ticket.

On the other hand CNN has been devastating in their coverage of Trump. You can tell their anchors what call him an idiot who lies every time his lips move, but know they have to say above the fray.

This kind of information is not big news because it is the opinion of just one person and the other side has plenty of paid flunkies to refute it if necessary, even if they have to tie themselves in knots doing it

Besides, it would be a good thing to read the linked article before complaining.
