Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumChuck Todd at it again
Meet the Press host Chuck Todd was doing what he does best and that is continuing his ¨anyone but Hillary" theme. This time it was the Democrats are fired up about Joe Biden.
First he brings on Walter O'Malley to tell us there needs to be another lifelong Democrat in the race. That Dem being Joe Biden.
Then he closes with a not so Democrat, Jerry Brown. He was there to make Chuck's point that there is a ground swell for Joe Biden.
There was this nugget from Brown.
"All I can say is, if I were Hillary, I would say [to Biden], 'Don't jump in.' If I were Joe Biden, I'd probably give it very serious consideration,"
In between there was the item that Biden is huddled with Elizabeth Warren and Hillary's supporters are ready to jump if/when it gets worse or won't go away.
Of course Huffington Post had to have a story about it since they have become ground zero for anti Hillary rhetoric.

(135,425 posts)upcoming legislation.
After all, Biden IS President of the Senate, and Elizabeth Warren recently got a leadership role there.
Gee...what legislation might be coming up for a vote, I wonder?
Of course, that's speculation too. There's a lot of chit chat but very few specifics. All we know is that Biden came to DC and took a meeting. We don't know why, though.

(40,416 posts)I thought she did. I don't know if that meant that she was endorsing HRC, but I certainly remember her saying good things about her.
So I don't know why anybody could credibly claim anything about Biden meeting with Liz, other than that he is the president of the US Senate and she is one of the leadership.
But Chuck Toad has to croak a bit, I suppose.

(16,104 posts)I bet we'd hear a whole new tune from the Sanders supporters, real fast.
Regardless of Biden's Iraq War authorization vote, and Warren's relatively recent conversion to Democratic Party principles (if those are actually identifiable).
Of course, these two would also be off limits for criticism at DU. The "Anyone Buts" and "Someone Elses" have their guiding principles.

(30,058 posts)Biden, Warren, Kaine or others as acceptable candidates. I can not see Bernie getting the nomination, he only holds some DNC platform values close and would have a major problem going against the GOP's in the general. IF something should halt Hillary's campaign I expect someone else to step up and they would be the nominee for the DNC.

(30,058 posts)Others can go on to get the nomination, no, very viable candidates will step in so it isn't going to go their way.
