On new DU rules and sig-line Graphics

I have noticed there are still many SBS posters that are still holding onto their offensive sig-line graphics. I'm not talking about pro-Bernie ones, those will be okay because it's always been okay to have sig graphics that were pro-Dem & Dem caucusing politicians. I am talking about the ones that have the gif of SBS poking the Hillary "balloon" with his finger in front of the White House, the one with Hillary super-imposed on a chicken, the hateful photo of Trump with Hillary's face, etc.

On the 16th, those graphics will violate DU rules and will be alerted on.

I would like, in the spirit of the new rules and the interests of moving forward, to call for Hillary supporters to "surrender" any graphics which might cause intentional offense to SBS supporters as we move into GE mode. I know I've still seen an occasional toaster here and there with a certain Senator peeking from the slots. . .

I can't tell anyone what to do, and honestly, I'm not trying to. It's just that I think it's more helpful for us as a community and for our candidate to try and do what we can to appeal to those "better angels" even if we're still suffering the last flashes of desperate anger from the most ardent supporters of Hillary's primary contest opponent. The GE change is upon us. I'm just asking each of us to think about maybe making this one small gesture.

I've retired anything Bernie-related, now that the primary is over. Donald Trump offers fodder enough for everyone.

Ding Trump, boost Clinton, whatever you want to do, but I agree with letting the primary fade into memory, along with all pictures associated with it.

And count me in for signature violation patrol, because I agree that many of those images are offensive based on the rules that will go into place shortly.

I'm glad you brought up the sig-lines! Most of us just "set it and forget it" without further thought as to whether or not it's still relevant or offensive.

We "Hillbots" and "Camp Weathervane" members should definitely take the lead and set an example when it comes to things like that and how we behave within our own group.

32. Actually, braille is pretty neat. I learned the letters when I

was younger thinking I could leave notes for my Dad, who was totally blind. Then I realized that his fingers were so calloused from working that he could hardly feel the bumps anymore. So much for that idea.

I knew a few people who could read braille nearly as fast as a sighted person could read. It was amazing.
