At the end of the interview, Matthews asked Weaver if he thought that Trump wasn't releasing his tax returns because he was hiding something. Weaver said yes. Mathews asked him what he could be hiding...Weaver said maybe he isn't as rich as he says or maybe he isn't paying much in taxes. Matthews asks him "So the fact he won't show his taxes means he MUST be hiding something?"Weaver says yes. Matthews then asks Weaver what Bernie is hiding since he won't release his taxes.

16. He did that really tough interview with Hillary. Very intense!

When it was over he observed that she seemed ready to be the President. He couldn't shake her and she was answering hard questions. It was pretty great.
In one way he seemed like an ass but because he double talks and tries to trap and confuse, it made her look like the most prepared person in the world.

You could tell Weaver wasn't used to actual pushback from interviewers given his self-satisfied smile after attacking Trump for not releasing his tax returns. It was actually a beautiful "tag team" effort from Frank and Matthews. Frank hammered Weaver on the Sanders camp not going after Trump enough so when Weaver had the chance to hit Trump on the returns, he took it. Matthews must have felt like he was metaphorically stealing candy from a baby.

In an interview on Bloomberg’s “With All Due Respect,” host Mark Halperin asked campaign manager Jeff Weaver if the Independent senator will stay in the Democratic Party if he doesn't become the nominee.

“Well, he is a Democrat, he said he’s a Democrat and he’s gonna be supporting the Democratic nominee, whoever that is,” Weaver responded.
