Sanders supporters planning to rally at convention to...(Sanders would deliver a "victory statement.

http://www.philly.com/philly/news/politics/presidential/20160601_Sanders_supporters_planning_to_rally_at_convention.html

The Sanders campaign wants to hold a "traditional Bernie campaign rally" at FDR Park in South Philadelphia on July 24th, Sanders' campaign spokesman Michael Briggs said.

The date and location had already been scooped up from the city by Sanders supporter Bill Taylor, of Northeast Philadelphia. Now, the Sanders campaign is coordinating with Taylor to use the permit to get a prime spot for their rally. Briggs did not elaborate on the rally plans, except to say that Sanders would deliver a "victory statement."

Sanders currently trails Hillary Clinton in pledged delegates to the Democratic National Convention. Clinton is expected to have more than enough delegates to secure the nomination at the convention.

Taylor said he plans to release his city permit to the campaign but that there is still a lot of paperwork to be done. He also has requests for the campaign, in particular that the rally be open to everyone with March for Bernie, a group of supporters not affiliated with the campaign. The rally was approved under a demonstration permit for 30,000 people.

Taylor is organizing the March for Bernie from City Hall to FDR Park, which is across from the stadiums complex in South Philadelphia where the Democratic National Convention will be held. Once there, the marchers would join an official Sanders campaign rally .

"We are heavily encouraging Bernie to lead that march," Taylor, 30, said.

I think it will center in "bringing progressive issues to the forefront" as being their victory. There will be bitching about the process, but an admonition to go forth and defeat Trump.

"This is all part of Sanders’ pretensions of a contested primary. Ha ha, as if. Except it’s hard to laugh when it’s clear that Sanders seeks to divide the party heading into its face-off with Donald Trump. Ironic, huh? We thought it’d be the GOP divided and in civil war. Little did we know that Sanders’ kamikaze mission would wreak that on the Democrats instead."

Then, there is this mess:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/occupydncconvention/

The woman organizing this, Laurie Cestnick, is local to me, though I do not know her personally. I DO know that she is a Canadian citizen and cannot vote in the primary or general election. Don't take my word for it:

https://groupsforbernie.org/members/laurie_cestnick/profile/

Her, "why Occupy DNC" blurb contains this:

The goal is to swing super delegates to vote for Bernie. We are showing that HE is the will of the people NOT a fraudulent Hillary nomination. Our signs will show that (go to FILES top of our page and see "signs" for the march). The election process was a farce -- the will of the masses is Bernie ..so the masses show up! HERE WE ARE!! Let's take a vote NOW! So, we are contesting Hillary's nomination on the grounds of fraud, voter suppression, and corruption. We show them who we want. If they nominate her anyway, we show them they did not "win" for we will not be voting for her in NOV. She CAN NOT win in Nov...they KNOW that.

So, this pisses me off a bit . Sure, citizens of any country are allowed to have an opinion on US elections, absolutely! And, they are even welcome to organize and make noise and whatever. But, geez, the bolded bit implies she thinks her "vote", outside the convention, should override mine, legally cast, in a Massachusetts polling booth? That's just not right.

This is just f...king crazy. How dare they think a majority wants Sander's. This JA and his brainwashed followers are doing a great job ensuring Trump becomes our President. Just because they wants this doesn't mean they are entitled to win by lying and trying to steel the election from the real winning. And, I would guess there is no chance the press will ignore this.

The man attracts crowds- his major was Political Science- that is all. He experience is not equal to Clinton's, he doesn't have her wealth of knowledge, he hasn't proved he can lead, take criticism or that he really is honest and anti- establishment. And, he has no workable ideas or plans. Why in hell would he and his followers believe the Super Delegstes will give him there support. He just wants to ruin the Democrats Convention and hurt Clinton.
