http://hinterlandgazette.com/2016/05/bernie-sanders-worn-welcome-democratic-party-leave-stage.htmlBernie Sanders has worn out his welcome in the Democratic Party with the endless and childish temper tantrums.
In fact, I thought he hit a new low by pushing to debate Donald Trump, but he sunk lower than that when he demanded that Barney Frank and Dan Malloy be unseated from key committees in the Democratic National Committee because they have been critical of him in the past.
Um, really? So, Bernie wants to suppress their right to free speech and to back the candidate they think will be the best person to represent the party?
Legal counsel for the Sanders campaign (another person whos living high off those $27 donations) said in a letter to Jim Roosevelt and Lorraine Miller, co-chairs of the Rules and Bylaws Committee, Gov. Malloy and Mr. Frank have both been aggressive attack surrogates for the Clinton campaign.
Their criticisms of Senator Sanders have gone beyond the dispassionate ideological disagreement and have exposed a deeper professional, political and personal hostility toward the Senator and his Campaign, he wrote. The chairs therefore cannot be relied upon to perform their convention duties fairly and capably while laboring under such deeply held bias.
Yes, I would be hostile towards someone like Sanders too because he is hellbent on blowing up the Democratic Party on his way out and handing Donald Trump the presidency. Its okay for his supporters to crucify Hillary Clinton, Hes trying to claim more power and its laughable because hes the LOSER, by a wide margin.
Lets see, Cornel West, one of his backers, has said some pretty ugly things about President Obama and Hillary Clinton, but you dont see her calling for his removal. Its interesting that Sanders would attack the first openly gay U.S. lawmaker and AIDS activist. Both Frank and Malloy have done more for the party and its cause than Sanders has ever done during his 25 years plus in the House and Senate. Im with Paul Krugman on this one its take a lot of nerve for Bernie to point fingers.
Um, so thats it? Hes upset because they are slamming him for his positions on gun control and immigration, and backing Hillary Clinton. What if the shoe was on the other foot? I will admit, I have never been a fan of Bernie Sanders, but I was willing to listen to what he had to say. At this juncture the constant barrage of whining, temper tantrums and complaints is just sickening. He has worn out his welcome ...Democratic Party. Rational people will vote for Hillary Clinton. No-one needs to wave a white flag just he please the loser. June 7 cant come fast enough when Bernie will fade into oblivion. We all know he literally torched his legacy and will be isolated by Democrats when he returns to the Senate.

So, it's OK to have Cornel West --"Obama is a Republican in blackface" -- on platform committee, but not Barney Frank? Wow.

(1,473 posts)and superiority complexes are a hallmark of some of his supporters as well.
There's an OP on how Dems are going "to listen to Progressives" as if we're not Progressives because we dont like the storming of the Bastille type of political strategy.

(28,270 posts)He could have been a power in the democratic party going forward but not now. He blew that bigtime.
He just wants to inflict the most damage possible to Hillary and the party at this point.

I think he'll be lucky to keep any of his committee assignments.

(2,542 posts)The Barney Frank attack is just petty grudge-holding by a petty man running a petty campaign, and still losing despite these Hail Marys.
ETA: Great statement by Paul Krugman, from the OP link:

(2,542 posts)"Woe is me, look at how the Democrats are treating me after I couldn't play by the rules and made myself look like a giant horse's ass out of myself on national television over and over and over. I tried to help Donald Trump get elected, and now they took away my committee assignments that I wasn't entitled to as a non-Democrat in the first place! SEND MORE MONEY!!"
Note to the jury: Pretty sure this will be alert-stalked from inside the HRC Group, so I'll just post my rebuttal in-comment. Using the phrase "look like a horse's ass" is a common adage for discussing a person who has made themselves into an obvious embarrassment. It's not a personal attack or any of the otherwise extremely low standards for hiding a comment that's not 100% pro-Bernie here on DU lately.

(297,322 posts)a hidden agenda for their next scam.. The problem for them is.. they're all backfiring and whatever their agenda is now.. one thing is for sure..
I guess we'll find out down the road why they thought it was okay to burn bridges @ the speed of light.
