Our local paper used to publish her columns once in a great while. When the internet allowed me to read her all the time, her lack of talent became apparent and I was appalled someone with such a lack of ability could be employed by such a famous newspaper. Her columns are all the same snark just rearranged. It was shocking, when there are so many really talented writers unemployed or underemployed, that Dowd keeps her job. Your analysis makes a lot of sense.

Dowd and Coulter may live in luxury, but they exude a poverty of the mind that comes out as ugly bitterness.

The NYT has revealed itself to be just another Republican propaganda organ.

No longer bother to read Dowd. The only writer for NYT worth reading is Paul Krugman.
