20 Days to go til CA, NJ, etc... I'm calling for a moratorium on some GDP participation

For me, it is just draining to deal with some of these people day in and day out, these three weeks are going to feel like an eternity if I'm dealing with the constant drumbeat. So, here's the plan;

1. I will not respond to any GDP thread where the OP is just a blog/twitter-like comment. You know the type, and probably some of the users who do it the most; one or two sentences, or something that resembles a long-form, choppy-lined poem. It's just a "Bernie is X!" or "Hillary is Y!" shtick. If it doesn't contain a citation to a reputable news source, something that engenders actual discussion, ignore the thread completely.

2. I will not respond to the same sub-thread within a thread more than twice. You know when a tangent goes on so long that that software stops indenting? It probably stopped being substantive or useful probably stopped in the 3rd hop.

Go meek, and hopefully it works better than it did for Jesus;

2. I'm trying to not engage in arguments with BS supporters. You can't reason with them and

it does no good to just get everyone pissed off. I've been reading GD-P, but not posting or replying. Let them have it for a few more days. It will be settled soon.

I trashed it over a month ago and wished that I had done it MUCH sooner.

I think some things still need to be challenged, but letting the worst of the chaff sink to the bottom will help quite a bit.

I'm at the point in life where I no longer suffer ANY sh** kindly and try to remove myself altogether from occasions of sh**. GD-P is one such occasion and I do not go there voluntarily. Too many there haven't a clue what they're talking about and only repeat RW GOP TPs.

Life is much more pleasant. They'll be gone in due course and can continue their sh** elsewhere.

4. My strategy has been to type out everything I want to say, and how I want to say it

...and then just re-read my own comment for a minute, to get it all out, followed by closing the tab or clicking another link without posting anything. I've seen the comments about the rigged jury system, and I was a DU reader before I became a member, so I get the gist of GDP and why it's so bad.

Typing without posting lets me vent a bit, without the risk of being targeted by alert-stalkers. Nothing I wrote can offend anyone because no one will see it, but I still get to feel better by writing it all out at least once.

5. I rarely post in GDP but on ocassion if I find something interesting

and reasonable I will.

12. I just ended up there by mistake about 2 hours ago.

I thought I was talking to a Bot who had wandered in here. I actually answered it's post! I don't really give a shit about Bernie's supporters. To me they are meaningless unless they are voting for Hillary. They all seem to be obnoxious bullies so I am thoroughly happy to ignore them and never go into any of the main forums here ever again.
