Would it be ironic if the "mythical" Bernie Bros...

ended up being the last torpedo to finish off the sinking ship?

I'm finding it rather ironic that it took Nevada of all places, a wretched hive of scum and villainy*, to expose the underbelly of the Sanders revolution, that small minority of his supporters who were derisively, but as it turned out, not so inaccurately, labeled "Bernie Bros" early in the campaign. Fair or not, that minority has now firmly put its stamp on the campaign. And those who saw the pattern early are looking like prophets.

In a twisted way, this whole event could actually help Democrats in November. The negative media coverage could hasten Sanders' exit from the race (yeah, I know...I'm not holding my breath, either) and I think it will only strengthen the resolve of Hillary's supporters. It also provides a bit of an escape route for those who hitched their wagons to the Sanders train, like Jeff Merkley.

The dudebros can scream that nothing happened
but at this point it doesn't even matter what happened or didn't.

Something happened. There were way too many reports
for it all to made up.

The screaming and ugly threats finally got
the media spotlight on Bernie.

And he blew it.
He doesn't condone viloence...but....whine whine whine...establishment
...whine whine whine.....rigged.... whine whine whine.

This jusr a week or so after those ugly pix from the Hillary rally in LA.

When you add all of that to the fact that he has zero
chance of getting the majority of pledged delegates.

Reasonable people know it's over.

In 2 weeks time all he'll have left are the hardcore nasty and the hardcore delusional.

3. Combining the "apology" with his stump speech was either laziness or hubris. Maybe both.

As you noted, saying "well of course I don't condone violence, but we got screwed" was a serious miscalculation. The media and even some of his supporters are already calling him out on it.

Delores Huerta and they tried to scam even before the caucuses.
