Nothing is ever their fault.

Nothing. Sanders supporters threaten Democratic officials. Someone else must be to blame.

Sanders supporters call a bar and threaten the bartenders because Lange manages the place. Someone else must have done it.

Sanders supporters change their registrations in a fit of pique and then can't be seated as delegates. Someone else must have done it.

Sanders supporters don't show up in the numbers they expected. Someone else is to blame. It's a massive plot. They were all just Clinton plants in the first place.

The funny part is that they're all so damn mad, yet none of them will admit that that madness (pun fully intended) could lead people to threaten others. They can't comprehend that the same people who scream "bitch" at female Democrats could leave threatening messages for them calling them bitches. Nah.

The cognitive dissonance is astonishing. I know I shouldn't be surprised anymore, but the inability of some of Bernie's supporters to even *consider* that other Bernie supporters could act like a lot of the rest of the human race just boggles my mind.

Even though the campaign staff admitted it was done and people were fired, his supporters insist that "nobody ever hacked nothin'".

I get accused of being part of a Brock brigade every day.
I've never heard of him until this election.
I came to DU because the Hillary supporters hadn't been chased off of this site by Bernie fanatics, as they have been from so many others.

It must hurt not to be able to acknowledge reality in any way shape or form.

7. He can't answer the question. It's a catch-22 that he's created.

If he says that they need to tone it down, his supporters will go insane.

If he condones their behavior, it means he'd be taking some responsibility for it. Can't have that.

Plus, I think it's possible that he believes that it's accomplishing something (what is anyone's guess) and doesn't want it to stop.

17. I'm surprised Sanders didn't say "why are you asking me that, it's not important"

as he usually does when he wants to avoid answering a question. I agree with you 100% about the catch-22 Sanders is in with his fans. He must fear they will turn on him as well.

Find an angry mob and run in front of it.

He lost control of his own campaign in March. As long as he says nothing he has what Reagan called "plausible deniability."
