Is Sanders 2016 Becoming Nader 2000?

Is Sanders 2016 Becoming Nader 2000?
How Bernie could cost Hillary the election.
By BILL SCHER May 16, 2016

But even if Sanders isn’t deliberately trying to replicate the electoral trauma inflicted by Nader in 2000—when he probably cost Al Gore the presidency—Bernie’s lingering presence in the Democratic primary threatens to produce a similar result in November: delegitimizing the eventual Democratic nominee in the eyes of the left and sending many critics, if not to Trump, then to the Green Party’s Jill Stein or the Libertarian Party’s Gary Johnson.

All I see are Bernie fans trying to destroy Hillary and the democratic party.

Nevada and the vandalism of the democratic party headquarters there speak volumes on what the berners want to do.

stronger than gore was, and trump is a weaker opponent. Still, I think BS should be run out of the Democratic Party.

I don't see BS hanging around the Democratic Party for very long after California.

The bigger problem is going to be the hard core BSers who feel they have been cheated out of their revolution and will stick around up to and even through the convention to cause disruptions.

Don't be fooled by the Libertarian/Rand Paul jackasses. A recent poll showed that 85% of Sanders supporters will vote for Hillary. The other 15% can fuck off and pout all they want.

The only thing that Sanders has in common with Dean is that they are both New Yorkers who moved to Vermont.

Howard Dean in 2004 was deliberately destroyed by the M$M. Before 2004, he was a loyal Democrat and after 2004, he has always been a loyal Democrat, Please never forget that it is largely due to his efforts that Dems became the majority party in the House and Senate after 2004. Dean is also a staunch Hillary supporter.

Dean is a builder, never a destroyer. Bernie is not a builder.

When the Dean campaign ended, Dean himself endorsed Kerry and the vast majority of Dean supporters voted for Kerry in the GE. I imagine the same will happen this year. Sanders will endorse Hillary and most of his supporters will vote for Hillary. I very highly doubt that Sanders will run 3rd party or as an independent in the GE.

I very much hope that you are right in that Bernie behaves with as much grace in 2016 as Dean did in 2004.

The only thing he is going to come out of this fiasco with is his "following". It's the only power he has and he isn't going to give it up. He will probably concede and do anti-Trump stuff.

10. I don't believe he'll do the damage Nader has done to the Democratic Party. Nader is pre-Obama, BS
Mon May 16, 2016, 11:51 AM

is POST-Obama - although BS and his followers are trying to do just that: damage the Democratic Party rather than the Republican Party, the latter being the biggest threat to their stated ideals and to the world. Paulites make up the base of the BS-brigade that we see shouting and yelling at Democratic conventions. They're helping Republicans A LOT, and I surmise they're smart enough to understand that fact which makes them suspect to me as a staunch and loyal Democrat.

Until the day I see them attacking Republicans, voting against Republicans, and organizing to rid our Congress of Republicans, their whining about the Democratic Party will fall on deaf ears with me, as it should with all Democrats.

And doesn't give a damn who wins, since he can not win himself.

He may even feel as Nader did back in 2000, as was shown in an article from the New York Times, November 1 "THE 2000 CAMPAIGN: THE GREEN PARTY: Nader sees a bright side to a Bush Victory"

Sanders is leading a revolution.
A Revolution requires pissed off followers.
What would be more likely to piss off voters than a Trump Win, the loss of the Supreme Court to pro-life judges, and the complete control of the legislative, judicial, and executive branches by the Tea Party?

I'd be surprised if a full scale disruption of the convention isn't being planned. Dudebros! BYO chairs!

Philly and the convention better be ready for violent actions from the bros.

Its being planned right now on reddit and elsewhere no doubt.

It will be Nevada on a large scale and Sander's says nothing.....
