We arrived at 7:30am and left just about 10:00pm... Long story short, it was just as ugly as you thought it would be. In the end, Secretary Clinton maintained her lead in the state -- 20 to 15 delegates for her. The Bernie supporters were off the chain with their behavior. Most vexing was their booing of Senator Barbara Boxer. My wife and I were there as delegates for Hillary. Here's my video of the madness and Senator Boxer's refusal to back down to their bullying childish behavior.

(7,480 posts)The constant booing, complaining about the process, saying that things were being rigged, insistence that the rules -- agreed upon by both campaigns months ago -- were unfair... That was likely more on their minds than anything. Many of us started in the EARLY morning hours (6am - 8am) and it was vexing seeing delays of several hours. Some people may have been concerned about their safety, but I would say that's unlikely since they were on one side of the hall and we were on the other. It made the stark contrast in behavior and observance of decorum abundantly clear.

Sanders is biggest spender of 2016 so far generating millions for consultants
The small-dollar fundraising juggernaut that has kept Bernie Sanderss insurgent White House bid afloat far longer than anticipated has generated another unexpected impact: a financial windfall for his team of Washington consultants.
By the end of March, the self-described democratic socialist senator from Vermont had spent nearly $166 million on his campaign more than any other 2016 presidential contender, including rival Hillary Clinton. More than $91 million went to a small group of admakers and media buyers who produced a swarm of commercials and placed them on television, radio and online, according to a Washington Post analysis of Federal Election Commission reports.
While the vast majority of that money was passed along to television stations and websites to pay for the advertising, millions in fees were kept by the companies, The Post calculated. While it is impossible to determine precisely how much the top consultants have earned, FEC filings indicate the top three media firms have reaped payments of seven figures.....On top of Devines commission, which is paid out of funds sent to Old Towne Media, Devine Mulvey Longabaugh has received more than $4 million for media production from the Sanders campaign, FEC reports show. A share of that money was used to pay licensing fees for images and music.......
Another large share of the campaigns spending more than $23 million has gone to Revolution Messaging, a 60-person digital firm founded by Scott Goodstein, who served as Obamas external online director in 2008.
The company, whose work has helped raise more than $200 million for the campaign, provides an array of services, including digital consulting, online ads and website development. In return, Revolution gets a monthly $30,000 retainer, along with a 10 percent commission on digital media buys, according to a person close to the campaign who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe contractual details. That translates to at least $2 million in fees so far, according to an analysis of FEC filings. The firm declined to comment.
That is a SHITLOAD of money to shell out.... to lose! No wonder he's in a lousy mood!

(135,425 posts)registration after the caucuses to make some sort of pointless point! This guy got his ass chewed so bad on reddit by his fellow Sanders supporters that he deleted his comments, but, as often happens, they were saved for posterity:
I just can't IMAGINE the mindset of a person who wants to participate in the process for selecting a DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE to represent the DEMOCRATIC PARTY, but who is so damned obtuse that they dump their party registration "in disgust." Is it stupidity? Entitlement? What?
Gee, I am not a member of your organization, I quit it because I hate you, but I want to be able to tell you how to run your show!

Apparently this guy wasn't the only one who joined the "impure" Dems just to vote for BS, and then dumped his registration as soon as the caucuses were over.
Playing by the party rules isn't an optional exercise~but some, apparently, thought so!

(7,480 posts)That's something the Berners aren't talking about. HRC people were ejected too. I was running for national delegate, but because of some mistake I wasn't on the ballot, but appeared on the state site. It was nefarious, it was simply human error. I ain't crying foul!

Stand and Fight
(7,480 posts)It is her right to talk and be heard. Bernie people should be able to hear her without me or other HRC supporters booing -- which none of us did -- and it's acceptable to silently make it clear we don't like the message. (297,323 posts)Sad for the BS team.. that means they're losing badly and I blame BS for their behavior.. he's encouraged it on so many levels.
Clinton: 6316 votes= 52,6%
Sanders: 5678 votes= 47,3%.
After an initial vote it turned out that of the total delegates showing up: 1,245 supported Clinton and 1100 Bernie.
For anyone that supports democracy, that thinks the votes of people should count: this is great news.
All in all this turn out may reset the delegate count to the original vote, and thus correct the disgusting situation that intimidation, theft and harassment actually enabled the Sanders campaign to steal delegates.
This is how BS would run his presidency.. and we can be so grateful... that's Not happening.

Personally, if I'd had to be a front row witness to that despicable spectacle, I'm not sure I could've stuck it out. Those ugly, contorted faces frighten me, not to mention the decible level.
These unhinged Berners behave exactly like Teabaggers--trying to get their way by bullying and screaming.
And, his rabid supporters here on this forum have the gall to call this "taking the party back for democracy".
Pfffft!
Stand and Fight
(7,480 posts)The hall was divided into two sides -- one side for HRC supporters and one for the Bernie supporters. At first my wife wanted to sit in one of the far left aisles which would have put us right next to them. I'm no hot head, but I know that if they started something, I am not one to not react if I thought my wife and daughter were in danger. So, I elected to sit in a column on the other side of the room so as to avoid them.
However, when we broke out into Congressional Districts to vote on delegates to the national convention, it was a mixed crowd. Lucy Flores - congressional candidate and Bernie supporter - was no more than six feet from me. One Bernie supporter approached the podium upset about the delegate allocation in CD-4 being 4 for HRC and 2 for BS. When he wouldn't sit down, I went up myself and shouted, "Why don't you cut the crap and go sit down? ENOUGH!" Others joined in and he retreated. Candidate Flores -- who has an inspirational story and I'd vote for if she didn't support Bernie -- seemed to think her fellow BS people were going over the line.
