Dear Bernie: Thanks, but…I’m done.

I’m not sure I’ve ever been more disappointed in a politician than I’ve become with Bernie Sanders. He was My Guy in the beginning. I really wanted him to be the real deal. I hoped for a year, that he would substitute sloganeering for actionable plans, and unfortunately I’m still waiting. As the months ticked by and his chances started to look noticeably slimmer, the tone shifted. It seemed to be impossible for Bernie and his supporters to accept that the majority of democratic voters simply did not have faith that he could accomplish all he was promising — The game MUST be rigged! Don’t get me started on the various conspiracy theories. If nothing else, Sanders and his fans have certainly kept the tin-foil manufacturers in business.

I’ve had numerous conversations with Hillary supporters who’ve tried to share pro-Hillary articles on social media (or even, god-forbid, Bernie critiques), but who had been so viciously attacked for it by Bernie fans, that they decided it just wasn’t worth voicing their opinions. This bullying has been pervasive throughout the campaign, and all over the internet. The comments sections of articles have been littered with some of the most disgusting, misogynistic and hateful rhetoric you’ll ever see, and Bernie has remained silent throughout all of it. I’m sure I’ll garner my own share of vitriol for posting this, but it makes me physically ill to sit and watch these ongoing attacks.

I think that Hillary should just continue forward. Hopefully soon Bernie will limp back to Vermont with his wife, and Weaver can go back to selling comic books. His super-hero, Blowhard Bernie, did not rescue the nation after-all, thankfully, because it already has a real super-hero--and a woman one at that!

2. I was always a Hillary voter, but had been sharing Bernie's FB posts

for quite a while. When I came back to DU a few months ago, after several years absence due to health issues, I was still glad Bernie was running. That ended mid-January when his campaign posted a lie right after a debate that claimed her life long donations as a Senator and POTUS candidate, from individuals, proved she lied about her Goldman Sachs ties. And it has just been lie after lie ever since.

The dude has no integrity. And that is one of the few areas I disagree with the link. The rest is spot on! Thank you!

I bookmarked the letter. It outlines the personality of an extremely undemocratic administrator who has no problem scapegoating anyone who gets in her way. Here is an except:

Jane, as board president, was directly involved in:

Corrupting existing democratic processes at the college and acting as the primary apologist for the autocratic policies and practices of Richard Greene

Orchestrating the formal approval of a budget (1996-7) that eliminated essential services, was politically retaliatory in nature, and excessively costly in administrative overhead

Ensuring approval at the board level of what amounted to a faculty purge -- the termination of 16 employees in 1996

Suppressing criticism and stifling dissent

Enabling Greene to render existing governance committees ineffective by rescinding the decision-making authority that had been delegated to legitimate standing committees and depriving them of necessary information

Stonewalling proposals for the design and implementation of progressive organizational development processes, including a performance appraisal process for the president, climate analysis of the college, and strategic planning

Suppressing the open discussion of proposals for progressive structural change in the college's governance processes

Creating an environment where an inordinate number of talented and committed staff felt compelled to resign

Stalling the efforts toward faculty/staff unionization

Sounds like someone we wouldn't want as FLOTUS under any circumstances.
