Ask The Administrators' Reply. Interesting read.

Know your TOS:

Vote for Democrats.
Winning elections is important — therefore, advocating in favor of Republican nominees or in favor of third-party spoiler candidates that could split the vote and throw an election to our conservative opponents is never permitted on Democratic Underground.

As it becomes overwhelmingly apparent that Bernie Sanders will have no role to play in the direction the Democratic Party proceeds, I'm sure many of his flock will be increasingly strident in the advocating for a 3rd party candidate. Be "alert".

and the good sense to embrace his candidacy and to encourage her supporters to vote for him. If Bernie Sanders and his supporters cannot do the same with Hillary, why should we be expected to believe that he is better than she is?

2. I think it's a good idea to copy and paste the TOS passage as someone suggested.

But the saddest thing is that Skinner's response indicates that he isn't enforcing rules because he believes that would mean banning half of the visitors who would otherwise regain their sanity and stop violating the rules once the primary is over. If he's right about their regaining sanity and civility at that time, I am somewhat sympathetic to his not wanting to lose revenue.

But what the practice of allowing a LARGE proportion of visitors to break rules for an extended period of time does is to allow bullying and other bad behavior that adversely affects other members who are NOT engaging in bad behavior. It also means that you really cannot have a good discussion on the big forums here and essentially go to your respective echo chambers.

Why have the rules then?

I hope that I never hear anyone of the admins complaining about the MSMedia's pandering to get viewers->ratings->$. It is a very similar principle.

I loved the anecdote about Skinner alerting on 3rd party crap, and jurors throwing the TOS back in his face! LOLOL!

But how many have they lost who simply are tired of their party being trashed all the time?

And as far as donating or going star membership, forget it. There's no way I'd want that money used in the future for something like this. It was a horror show.

crap I have seen at DU GDP. I really think we have been infiltrated with a bunch of RW spoilers. The Bernie or bust gang will leave once the primary is over...or they will become Trump supporters and soon be banned. I stick around just to present some info I find outside of DU to keep hope alive. Once the primary is over, I will become just an observer and drop by once in a while. Going to spend the bulk of my time positing positive information about Dems on all over. I can't get out much but I have posted on a few W,VA red sites to let them know about Hillary's plans for coal communities that were hit hard. Two people who said they didn't like Hillary or Bill actually said no one had ever told them about HC plans so I left them the link to her official policy site. I don't know if it changed any minds but at least they have the information.

Met some nice folks from SD, OR and WI on Twitter too. GOPers who my information interesting and even re-tweeted the links I left for them. We all can come up with ways to counter the would be sumass media love fest with Trump and Bernie. Just quietly spread facts and information and opinions at sites all around the boards. You would be surprised how many decent people are out there mixed among the whackos.

"True story: I have sent a number of alerts on the third-party advocacy thing, and I have stated in the alert that it is a clear TOS violation, and on more than one occasion smug jurors tell me to 'go read the TOS.'"

That means that he is watching, has seen what people are saying, and is aware of people's smugness. That's a good thing. I hope the ban hammer comes down STRONG, because some people have gone against being civil and are becoming increasingly more vapid.
