Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumOn GD:P someone posted "be aware of any Democrat supporting a corporatist Democrat"
Then they encouraged people not to vote for Hillary. Plus they posted all kinds of Republican-type attack material.

I warned them that someone would probably alert on it since they insulted all Hillary supporters. I guess someone did send an alert.
I see the thread is still there but everyone stopped posting on it at least.

(5,624 posts)What a cesspool DU has become. No more thoughtful discussion. Just lies, inuendo, smears, RW posts........etc. And what is sadder still is that some people really think like this............words can not express.

(8,133 posts)Maybe we should send an alert or warn that they will probably be alerted on for all the horrendous posts.

(90,837 posts)....chances are they will get away with it due to packed juries. But if more than one person alerts, it ends up on the Admin's desk.
I am SO sorry I visited that link. What a horror show.

(8,133 posts)the Clinton person has won (by a slight margin) and a handful where the Sanders person has lost or has come close to losing so things may not be as bad as they were.

(34,483 posts)like the big money in politics system any more than Sanders does - and Obama has frequently decried the decision.
Most of us probably also share the same concern.
HRC may differ from Sanders in believing that as long as the current corrupting system exists, you cannot put your head in the sand and pretend that money does not matter. You have to be capable of competing with the GOP machine.

(90,837 posts)ie the Barack Obama Group. Literally driven out of the main forums if we had anything kind to say about the POTUS.
As for Hillary herself, this Group has existed since the 2008 campaign and she took sufficient flack then that a lot of people got blocked. The BSers keep whinging that the Hillary Group has blocked soooooo many people -- well, soooooo many people have no manners and can't maintain a civil discussion.
This past year has been something special. Perhaps Skinner has had a lot going on in his personal life that he is certainly not required to share with us, but the series of hands-off decisions he has made about this site have had seriously deleterious effects. He created Discussionist as a sort of safety valve -- I thought he could have clamped down here and let the poo-flinging monkies have free rein over there. As administrative decisions go, kind of a mystery, but it does demonstrate once again that on the Internet any site without strict enforcement quickly devolves into Lord of the Flies Redux.
Yet we are still here, hoping for redemption.
