Respect

http://thedailybanter.com/2016/04/after-super-tuesday-part-2/

Hillary Clinton supporters would do well to respect Sanders supporters.
Clinton and Sanders agree on a great deal.
And, his supporters want the same things that Sanders supporters want.
We need to remember that, at the end of the day, we are on the same page.

The key word is: respect.

To quote from the article:

With the Republicans in total disarray, the Democrats would do well to congeal as the grownup party, then to grab some popcorn and watch as the GOP continues to behave like poop-flinging monkeys. But this will require a little more time. By this Summer, I suspect many of the more activated Bernie people will come around, and then the GOP will have to deal with both the Berners and the Hillary supporters after they snap together into a single progressive Voltron. And I wouldn't want to be the Republican ticket when that happens.

Personally, I discount as campaign rhetoric the hard words put out by both sides.
Such words are mere rhetoric. Forget about them; concentraate on the task at hand:
sending off the GOP. Send them to the oblivion that they have richly earned.

"Up men, and at 'em! They will not stand!"

candidate in the primaries knows it doesn't feel good to lose. Some of them make it real hard though.

From their dismissal of black Americans and thinking they know better to accusing women of voting with their vaginas to their dismissal of key states and other demographics, they'd be wise to realize that when you lose, you play a part in fostering an atmosphere of cooperation along with the victor.

It starts with their ongoing vicious rightwing false narrative bile and filth aimed at our Democratic nominee, and we are supposed to be respectful?

Any DUers here targeted and silenced for months at a time by these posters we are to respect?

Look at GD-P. The Home Page. Nothing has changed.

If so, no deal. I do respect a lot of Sanders supporters because I know them and they are good people. Very few are on DU. I do not respect Sanders; he is a hypocrite, and it's his way or the highway.

I hope the sane Sanders supporters take a deep breath and vote for the Democratic nominee; many have already vowed to do that. I think a majority of them who are NOT here on DU will vote for Hillary Clinton and will not demand "respect" in order to do so.

There is a big difference between people in the real world and the anonymous zealots at places such as DU.
The zealots here have earned being consigned to cloud cuckoo land.

Clinton, at least, will have to show respect to an unsuccessful opponent.
Whether he has earned it or not. The key word is magnanimous.
And, to indicate that he is welcome in the Party.
There is a common enemy who has to be defeated.
After the enemy is sent off, there will be time to settle scores.

Most who support Sanders will vote for Clinton.
