Former Salon editor-in-chief Joan Walsh took to Twitter Wednesday to slam her old outlet for publishing an anti-Hillary Clinton column she argued was idiotic.
At issue was a piece titled Please, FBI youre our last hope: The Democratic Partys future rests upon your probe of Hillary Clintons emails, republished from the Huffington Post and written by columnist and Bernie Sanders supporter H. A. Goodman. In his column, Goodman argues that the FBI should speed up its investigation so it ends before primary season.
At this point, Bernie Sanders is the only Democratic candidate not linked to an FBI investigation, yet Clinton is leading in delegates. This dynamic would never take place in any other leading democracy. If David Cameron had been investigated by MI5, rest assured the British would never have allowed him to become leader of his political party, and eventually Prime Minister.
No doubt, you must perform your investigation without political pressure, but the reality is that millions of Bernie Sanders supporters are awaiting your verdict. Millions of independent voters, and millions of Democrats who arent voting for Clinton, need to hear your verdict. Needless to say, the Republicans are waiting as well.
Whether or not you recommend indictment, and whether or not youve found criminal wrongdoing pertaining to Clinton, should be known before the end of the Democratic Primary. Democrats cant nominate a person who could potentially face indictment on November 7, 2016.
Needless to say, Walsh was not amused, jokingly threatening to excise Salon from her resume.
I think it's time for me to take @salon off my resume. I'm not linking to that idiotic piece, but y'all know what I'm talking about.

Does a 17-year gap in your journalism career hurt your resume? Asking for a friend @salon.

(5,737 posts)Bernie and his followers have gone from naive to naive and desperate. The bad part is, many of his followers are repeating that same line about the FBI. Sad, desperate, pathetic? Take your pick of any and all.

(1,359 posts)Even their culture and entertainment articles suck. They hired some former goth girl as their media critic, which means The Leftovers is the "greatest show ever" and everything else sucks.
They've also been shitting on Trevor Noah non-stop during his first year on The Daily Show. Give the guy a chance to find his voice, maybe?

(28,270 posts)Use to visit their site all the time. I will leave them to the Sanders dead enders and other nut jobs now.

(10,014 posts)Too many articles are reprints from leftist blogs, they brought back noted nut-job and woman-hating Camille Paglia, and their political writers seem to come directly from Hillary-hate Nation. I am disappointed because it used to enjoy reading it.
It used to be a pro-woman site but it's now been taken over by Sanders bros and a couple of their little sisters.

(12,448 posts)when they started this anti-Hillary bullshit, much of which were demented rants with nothing backing them up.
Besides, Salon kept crashing my browser. For more reasons than one, it was unreadable.

The #BlockSalon movement is not about censorship. They're free to publish what they want, but I'm also free to deny @Salon access to me.
