I wonder if the women who follow us in this world

will understand that even in our time and place, we had to hold firm even to get our girl as far as she has gotten. A special shout out to Millennial women who probably struggle harder to support Hillary than we know. Sisters!!!

With all the dismissive nonsense regarding "vagina voters", the larger fact of how powerful the impact will be, to elect the first woman president, has been subsumed. Thank God for Millenial women.

And, that the first woman president will be Hillary Clinton. She's brilliant, flawed, savvy, tough, gentle, warm, hard--she is as complex a woman as I would expect to run this country. She has contacts all over the world. She has a firm grasp of the complexities of policy. She has a experience resume too long to cite. She has gone toe to toe with the good old boys club--in whatever form--and stared them down. She is nobody's tool, no one owns her. She will continue President Obama's legacy, yes, but as she has said, she has ideas of her own. She has always fought for the rights of women and girls.

I don't cry much--I just don't--but I cried when President Obama was inaugurated , I expect the same tears of joy with Madame President, Hillary Clinton.
