A Sanders Supporter Just Came To Our Door in SoCal

A young white guy. Pleasant enough. Had both of my kids names on his list and wanted to talk to them. They are both at work, so he left a Sanders pamphlet.

2. I felt sorta bad because after Tuesday, well, it's a totally lost cause.

Didn't want to burst his bubble. My area of SoCal skews red, so I admire someone who is probably having a lot of doors slammed in his face keeping on.

3. Hey, he is out doing the work.

I respect that, even if I disagree with his candidate.

4. Exactly. I didn't feel it was my place to shove my support of Hill

in his face. It's hard enough doing such door-to-door work as it is.

5. I got phone banked by the Clinton campaign

before the NC primary. An adorably nervous young man called. I was probably the first person who actually picked up. I reassured him that I had already early voted for Clinton. I remember MY first time..... phone banking. It IS nerve-racking at first.

6. I hope that he stays involved

That is what our country needs: people involved and actually working on it.
I hope that he keeps studying and learning. I am 70 and I have never stopped learning.
And, I hope that he never becomes jaded and cynical.
