*HILLARY GROUP* In House, liberals side with Clinton over Sanders

The corporate media headlines scream one thing, reality is quite another!

The Hillary group keeping it real!

http://thehill.com/homenews/house/246845-in-house-liberals-side-with-clinton-over-sanders

Dozens of House liberals have endorsed Hillary Clinton's White House bid even as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is gaining steam.

Sanders, a liberal icon, has emerged as a surprisingly strong candidate since launching his campaign two months ago, raising $15 million and making huge gains on Clinton recently among Democratic voters in Iowa, which will host the country's first presidential caucus.

Yet at least 26 Democrats representing the 69-member Congressional Progressive Caucus –– a bastion of liberal thinking that Sanders helped to launch –– have already endorsed Clinton, according to a tally being kept by The Hill.

The list includes liberal stalwarts like Reps. Rosa DeLaura (D-Conn.) and Debbie Dingell (D-Mich.) –– both forceful voices in the recent trade debate that Clinton was reluctant to enter –– and Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.), Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) and Jim McDermott (D-Wash.), three vociferous critics of an Iraq War that Clinton, as a New York senator, supported.

But no members of Congress have officially endorsed the Vermont senator.

1. And they won't endorse Sanders, officially or otherwise

Only a handful of Democratic legislators might dare endorse Sanders. If they do, they risk getting cut off from support by the Democratic National Committee, which is controlled by party loyalists, and heavily populated by Clinton allies. The two party system is deeply entrenched, and vengeful when it feels betrayed.

And I believe Clinton is proud of her association with the mainstream Democratic Party. And the mainstream Democratic Party is proud of her. I'm not suggesting Clinton is prompting anyone to punish anyone for endorsing or failing to endorse anyone, but it is a feature of the two party system that loyalty is rewarded and disloyalty is punished. It has been that way ever since I can remember, and it's certainly not something devious or underhanded on the part of the Clinton people. Sorry if it sounded that way.

it's good to be a real Democrat when you are running for leader of the Democratic Party and to be the next Democratic president!

This was always a disadvantage for the "party of one" candidate Senator Sanders (I-VT).

and it's a bright red flag when an applicant has no letters of recommendation from colleagues.

Anywho, its always "because" whenever someone supports HRC. Always something negative.

OK rant over. Thanks for the information and ahem, she will be getting more "because" she is gonna win.

will be called shills and mouthpieces.

Some of them are people I know and respect greatly. Jan Schakowsky is one of those.

8. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) and Jim McDermott (D-Wash.) aren't too shabby either.

I LOVE Jim McDermott! He's one of the good guys. And he's about as progressive as they come.

And lest anyone feel otherwise - WE are the good guys, too. (Even us Hillary supporters! )

ALL Dems with their eyes on the prize are the good guys. ALL Dems who care about the greater good and how wise government can be a force for good - ALL Dems and others of like mind - are the good guys.

We all want the same thing: To keep the GOP OUT of the White House. Locking 'em out permanently would suit me!

“President Obama and Secretary Clinton both benefitted from their hard-fought primary in 2008,” Grijalva said. “They tested each other, and as a result, they both became stronger leaders in the end.”
