Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumWhy would Dr. Song disparage democrats?
I was upset today to wake up and see Dr. Song use the term "democratic whores" describing democrats who were the cause of no Medicare for all. Not only does it denigrate democrats, but it denigrates women. Why not use the term "democratic johns?" They both use money to transact sex.
Hillary was the first person to put forward the proposition of universal health care back in the 90's when she was first lady. The Republican's shot it down back then calling it "Hillarycare". (Republicans only like to denigrate health care put forward by women or black men who have three syllable names). It amazes me that Song would imply she is a whore when she was one of the first proponents of universal health care coverage. Of course her position was lost in 1994 when the Clinton's lost the democratic congressional majority when the country decided they were going too far too fast. It made clear to me that change comes slowly.
Another Democratic icon, Ruth Ginsburg Bader argues the same as a Supreme Court justice. Change needs to come slowly so the populace can assimilate it. Read the book "The Notorious RGB." She is a progressive icon while Hillary seems to be a punching bag. Why is that? Because the populace does not understand the difference between law and politics? Both Ruth and Hillary do.

(31,170 posts)the crowd seems to have loved it. Tells me a lot about Bernies supporters present last night. And Bernie himself for fostering an environment where Dem's are the bad guys.

(236 posts)I agree Sanders is not a democrat. But the DU considers him one because he is running on the democratic ballot. And a large proportion of his followers do not identify themselves as democrats either, but they seem to have a lot of clout on DU. It makes me sad to see lifelong democrats denigrated because Sanders is running on the democratic ballot.

(236 posts)Sander's campaign manager just acknowledged there was no trail that Hillary did the bidding of Wall Street - specifically in her large speaking fees but the amount indicated she was with big business and not the middle class. Does anyone know how much Jeff Weaver gets as campaign manager? His his salary large enough to indicate bias towards him as opposed to middle class voters?
