WASHINGTON (WPVI) -- Rep. Chaka Fattah has now resigned from Congress effective immediately.
He had previously tendered a resignation that wouldn't have been in effect until October 3rd.
His resignation came in a letter to Speaker of the House, Rep. Paul Ryan.
