Restaurant begs for 1-star-reviews to protest Yelp-extortion.

As you may know, Yelp offers your restaurant a ratings-improvement if you buy ad-space at their site. (A court ruled that this is totally legal.) The Botto Italian Bistro didn't like that extortion, so they asked Yelp to no longer list them on their site. Yelp never wrote back.

Next, Botto asked customers to leave 1-star-reviews for them on Yelp. Turned out, people like writing funny reviews and it turned out, people like going to a restaurant other people are writing funny reviews about.

Yelp wouldn't have that. They sent a bureaucratish, threatening e-mail to Botto, that they were buying customer-reviews (100% correct) and Yelp threatened the Bistro to no longer list them. Right now, Yelp is busy scrubbing 1-star-reviews on Botto from its page.
