Dumb Criminals: Escondido Man Makes Off With $45 Of Girl Scout Cookie Profits
SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Escondido police are still searching for the man who stole a donation jar from two Girl Scouts selling cookies.
The booth was set up outside an Albertson's grocery store on West Valley Parkway in Escondido.
Saturday night, a man came out of the store, grabbed the jar and fled in a black Acura with the California licence plate #6KBC407.
The jar was filled with $45 in donations for Operation Thin Mint -- a Girl Scout fundraiser that sends cookies to US troops overseas.
"I want them to know that it was wrong and he is really mean and he shouldn't steal from little girls," Zoe Fullerton said.
