Woman allegedly bites off finger of another woman during fight over cigarettes

A fight over 50 cents and a cigarette resulted in a Muskegon woman’s finger being bitten off and spit out in a front yard Monday evening on Southern Avenue.

Danielle Lott, 46, who lives in the 400 block of West Southern where the brawl occurred, said Tuesday all that’s left of her finger is "a nub.”

The finger was bitten off just under the first knuckle.

It was gathered up at the scene and transported, along with Lott, to a local hospital Monday night. But the damage to the digit was too extensive, and it could not be reattached, Lott said.
