old news but....
Published 10th June 2017

The patient, who has not been named, was admitted to hospital after suffering from Hirschsprung’s disease.

His condition means the patient lacks the nerves required to poo properly, which can cause a build up in the intestines.

Doctors at the 10th People’s Hospital of Shanghai in eastern China reported that the man began to experience a bulge in his stomach at a young age.

And by the time he was admitted the patient looked like he was heavily pregnant.

I’ve seen some impressively dilated colons in my career but that takes the cake!

Not to mention that people think it’s mockable.

Any bowel disease is mockable, and for us Inflammatory Bowel Disease survivors, it’s one hell of a fucked reality. (Many don’t survive, but the disgusting factor always outweighs that—in the public arena, anyway.)
