Thai penis whitening trend raises eyebrows

A supposed trend of penis whitening has captivated Thailand in recent days and left it asking if the country's beauty industry is taking things too far.
...
The original Facebook post from the clinic offering the treatment, which uses lasers to break down melanin in the skin, was shared more than 19,000 times within two days.
...
The ministry warned about possible side effects such as pain, inflammation or scars and even effects on the reproductive system and on having sex.

Stopping treatment would cause the skin colour to return to normal and may result in "nasty-looking spots", the ministry said.

Let me get this straight. Thai men are letting someone aim a laser at their dick in order to lighten its color.

It's good to know that there are stupid people everywhere.

Of course, it's been done before:

The same hospital caused a stir last year for touting a cosmetic procedure called a "3D Vagina" in which the customer's own body fat is used to make genitalia more plump.

Racism is an obvious issue, generating self hatred of one's darker skin color.
sadly, it is prevalent and there are always people around to make money from it.

I can’t blame them for that.

I mainly watch what I eat and exercise when I do to look attractive to my wife. Perhaps I’m nothing but a “horn-dog” (that was a term an old girlfriend coined for me), but my own health and everything else takes a back seat to the way I look to the opposite sex. FWIW, in my mid twenties I did a lot of steroids despite knowing they were bad for me. As I’m quickly approaching the age of 40, I have no regrets for that.

If my wife suggested that my what-cha-ma-call-it was too dark I’d zap it with a laser first thing in the morning!

However, in the same vain, I’ve never been with a woman whose boobies or who-ha werent attractive to me. I’ve seen some less than perfect “bits and pieces” in my life - but I’ve alwayd enjoyed and appreciated all of them regardless. The fact that person with whom I am connecting with is comfortable with sharing themselves with me is what I get turned on by - not a perfect body.

Oh well, enough of me being a creeper...
