Ice cream and a kiwi that has laser beam eyes: New Zealand looks for a new flag
BBC story hereNew Zealand asked for the public's ideas for a possible new flag design. They got everything from ice cream cones to, of course, kiwi birds - one of which shoots laser beams out of its eyes.
Sadly, none of the really fun designs were picked. The government has narrowed down the pool to forty geometric designs, which include colorful swirls, but sadly no laser birds.
