Obama got 69,499,428 votes in 2008. So over 95% of the people who voted for him, are not giving a dime to his re-election.

Which is not to put him down, but just to note that donors, even small donors, are a very, very small part of the electorate.

I gave quite a bit more than $25 dollars to President Obama, but that will probably be a one time thing. I also gave to Emily's List and some Congressional seats. It was my donor day. I'm sure there will be a lot more money coming in now that we are in the last 2 months. I'm hoping that there are huge PACS out there for President Obama since, at this time, it's the law of the land.

I don't think money will buy this election, though. I'm guessing that if Romney is saturating the airwaves come October, people will actually be turned off by his inability to say anything substantive. His base is already voting anyone but President Obama and the undecided voters usually put more thought into their vote. I do see an opening for Romney if he hammers away at the unemployment rate. Just saying that I'm not sure if more ads make any difference. I know the money goes to many other things in a campaign and that's why I'm sending the little that I can.

My mind can't even begin to imagine a Romney/Ryan ticket. They would also bring along a lot of Republican votes down the ticket and that makes me want to run to the bathroom. November 6th is going to be a very long day. I'm already getting very jumpy.
